Why is a codec error..i didnt install anything during the game.Hell i wish i knew.I always thought that error's like can't find/can't open pointed to a faulty install.But i got pointed correctly by stan.But i don't realy know what you can do about it.Maby you need a codec pack or something.codecs are basicly nothing more then language packages for your pc with allows it to talk(work) with the game.If you are missing a codec the game can't talk with the pc, with results in a crash.If you want to look a dvd on your pc you need a codec pack to(or vista/seven)(these have the codecs already installed in the core files).it's not the same in the game, but it is the same working off.If you don't have the right codec pack for an aplication, your pc does not know what to do with it.If you could play already, and it crashed i think something in the game needed a type of codec. that isn't on your pc, and the game did not need before.If you use a mod(pointing out to the last line in the file) it's either self build and one of the models has an error in it(got that a lot)or u use a mod/map with an know bug on it.But as i said before, i was corrected on these types of errors by stan.Telling it was a codec problem.
