Commander Rasseru
These Firemen are crazy! How are they able to do this? Without their commander knowing? You guys seen this? Could there be any more firemen that are crazy as this?
Forensics
Looks cool! But don't those firefighters have anything better to do like........fighting fires?
Newfoundking
More than likely, this was at an event, I saw this years ago.. They obviously had permission to do it, there is no way they could get away with it if there was that many involved.. It was more than likely at a show of some sort, or set up for that reason. bennie900
Gotta do what you gotta do, the other side was solid traffic the only way through
joachimnor
I cant see anything wrong with that... In my town firetrucks, ambulanes and police cars does it all the time
Forensics
In the UK they would stay on the right side of the road and make everyone move closest to edge as possible therefore making a space wide enough for a fire truck to fit through in the middle. Although that would be a lot slower.

Newfoundking
Depending on the situation and the danger, it's safe enough.. As you can see, traffic in the opposing lane isn't coming flat out to a green light, therefore it is somewhat safer, and ifit's safer, and they'll get to the scene on time, then I don't see a problem. It's nothing to see a cop car change sides of the roads to get through an intersection when the four lanes on the right side of the road are packed tight. Forensics
Or if they were on a dual carriageway or a motorway they could use the hard shoulder.Yep, your allowed to do that even against the direction of traffic!
randomperson139
Yep, your allowed to do that even against the direction of traffic!Normal cars aren't supposed to use it so there would be less risk of a crash even going against the traffic. Luisinho
Not exactly, they can do whatever thing that is necessary. There is no such thing as ilegal. I've seen emergency vehicles using the pavement a couple of times already, because the road was blocked, and they couldn't get through.Plus, I always see emergency vehicles driving on the wrong side of the road.By the way, that driver is crazy dude! Chris3281
Your video was a exceprt from the discovery channel show "Mythbusters" they had a letter sent to them reguarding fire hoses. and they thought it would be boring to just ask firefighters so instead they had a little "fun"... -Chris

As for that video, it would take on hell of a lot of time to get through that traffic. Just imagine, though, seeing a fire engine blazing straight towards you
joachimnor
The episode i saw they actually made it...
Newfoundking
In the video, you'll notie it's a small car and it was probably stripped out.. With enough hoses and enough pressure you can lift anything.. Just takes a lot more pressure to lift a full sized sedan, then a stripped down compact
