Guest em4fan
I decided to change the resolution from 1024x768 to 1280x800 but not found *x800 but by mistake I selected to 1280x960 (if not mistaken) and now the game don't wants to run. Is there any way to change this setting in one of the file/s?Thanks to allem4fan
randomperson139
Open em4.cfg and look for this:<var name="r_xres" value="1280" /> <var name="r_yres" value="800" />Change the values to whatever you need.

randomperson139
how do I find out what my screen resolution should be??Run the DXDIAG and click display. It tells yu your current didplay mode. You want the set the scree resolution for the game as close to that as possible.

Guest em4fan
Can i insert 1200 and 900 by this method?Only if the game supports the resolution, be sure to consider what you offer and then decide whether you have it makes sense to change it.@StanCan you move my topic in this case in the correct section?em4fan

My native res is 1680x1050 which is not officially supported by EM4 but it upscales just fine.im having trouble saving the cfg file, ive made the neccessary chnages so i can edit it(sorting the properties etc), but it still doesnt let me save it. any ideas? im opening it in notepad, did anyone else open it differently?!?Let me guess your running vista? If so you dont want to edit the file directly from with in the program files folder. Copy it to your desktop, edit, save, then paste back to where you got it from.
