firefighter111
For those of you who like to NYC's emergency services, there are to video series that aren't really known. The first is the inside the Inside the NYPD series, which is obviously produced by the NYPD, and and covers a special unit in each episode, through interviews, and showing training, ect. I like this series, but it's not as good as the FDNY series because it feels too scripted to me, and it also feels too much like a recuritment video. The second series, like I said above is the FDNY close up series, and it covers the different type of unit each episode, ie engines, ladders, rescue/squad, and ems. I like these videos better than the NYPD videos because they have an unscripted feel to them. Now not to say that they just show up at the firehouses with a camera and start interviewing people who have nop idea what's going on, but they just follow a company around for the day, and don't really edit what happens, unless it's bad (like cursing), or to save time (so mmost of the video isn't them sitting around the fire house). But if their in the middle of filming and the tones go off, the guy with the camera just gets on the truck with the crew and goes on the run with them. It makes for a better video I think, because what makes a more entertaining video, Rescue 1 responding to a real life report of an underground explosion, or watching an NYPD ESU team training cut togeather with interviews of NYPD ESU members? click the links below to see the respective videos.F.D.N.Y. close-upInside the NYPD
