Guest Taylor Posted August 18, 2009 Report Share Posted August 18, 2009 After an hour of searching for suspected burglar Aldophus Martin Hughes Jr., Titusville police found him hiding in the trunk of a patrol car.AdvertisementPolice said they had arrested Hughes, 18, in a burglary of a home about 1 p.m. Monday in the Plantation Oaks subdivision. He is also being charged with attempting to escape and criminal mischief after Hughes, in handcuffs, managed to pull back the seat and maneuver into the trunk of the patrol car."Thats a first for us," said Lt. Did he think that the police car wouldn't go back to the police station just because he wasn't in the back seat and was hiding in the trunk. One quick thing though, the story said they started searching the area with K9. wouldn't the dogs hit upon his scent in the trunk when they got his scent out of the patrol car?
