Commander Rasseru
That's a pumper and they stole the lights bar idea from Japan and Europe Engines.
Newfoundking
They didn't steal the idea, it's free for the taking, I have been seeing lights like taht for many many years... lolAnd as Pyro said, if you google it, you can get lots of information, it is a pumper used for the Kansasville volunteer fire department. It is not a pierce from what I can tell though

AgentSmith6
It's a Rosenbauer, not the most popular brand in the US, but pretty big overseas. One of a few in the country in fact.

Newfoundking
no, I think what he is saying is it is like made in the US, but it is like a smaller branch there, and like a much bigger thing in Europe.think like ford in the US, it is the major car dealer, but in europe, not so much, you don't see half as many fords.. Ami89E1234
That's a pumper and they stole the lights bar idea from Japan and Europe Engines.not everything is from Japan. and yes its a Rosenbauer.Rosenbauer trucks may not be so common in America, but a LOT of departments use Rosenbauer equipment
Newfoundking
yes, I noticed a bunch at the Central station here, I think there was like half a room full... either we have too much, they were cleaning off a truck, or it all broke, either way, we bought it (well I would hope for the amount of money that goes in there)

Obviously it was a pumper but wanted to know a make and model.Would any one share pics of other vehicles with these lightbars built in?Now I would hope they have lights embedded in the rear also as it seems like these lights wouldnt be to visible from the rear. MCERT1
It may be a rosenbauer but the cab is definitely either a pierce velocity or impel. That look is very distinct.
Newfoundking
I will head to the hospital tomorrow and get a few pics of the ambos if they are off duty.. We have a lot of ambulances like that, they are a few years old, as we are switching to LEDs now... I might even be able to scrounge some pics up of the Rescue truck that had them... When you see it, you don't think it will light up good, but oh man, it lights up like a christmas tree, no trouble seeing it for sure
MCERT1
Well apparently the trck has some big issuesSo the truck is has a new cab of poly carbonate, with an upgraded package thanks to rosenbauer. I still want to figure out who made the cab though. Since HME and Spartan don't make a similar cab it must be a Pierce

AgentSmith6
Actually, I forget the model name, but if I remember correctly it is in fact a Rosenbauer cab. this is a Pierce Impellhttp://www.piercemfg.com/Admin.Component.D...aa-2256a1af85edand this is a velocityhttp://www.piercemfg.com/Admin.Component.D...83-d2d421493876@ Newfoundking, are those Demers ambulances you have up there? The company that does EMS for my town has one or two kicking around, along with two other companies in the state. Odd looking, but supposedly they get better gas mileage because of it. Newfoundking
no, we have plain old ford vans, and the occasional GMC or chevy, and now we are starting to go box truck, but we have a bunch ofvan ambulances kicking around with the same lighting style as the front of this truck, I'll try and get some pictures eventually. Unfortunately the ones assigned to my part of town, are the newer better box ambulances, so we don't see those anymoreEDIT: I just picked up on what you meant... No all our ambulances are bought by the government and owned.. There are a few private ambos, but the lighting on them is pretty bad... All of the ones though are ford or GMC or Chevy, nothing else.... Except a Cadillac one I seen a few years ago... I doubt it was used as much as the fords/GMCs/Chevys but it was a nice ambulance! Like this http://www.priory-campus.co.uk/dreamweaver...es/ghostb01.jpg ?Here in the city we dont actually have any Ambulances operated by the fire department. There is one fire department on city limits that does have an ambulance called Dive Rescue 6 so I guess it is only used for medial response when water rescue is needed. Its a For E-450 I think, or E-350. In the city we have AMR Vintage and AMR Box styles. I'd say its about 50/50 on Van vs Box style. Which imo is pretty bad since were the third largest city in Indiana, and the largest city with in a 2,2.5 hour radius. We have one rescue squad which is one huge ambulance with extra tools like Jaws of life.http://www.indianafiretrucks.com/pictures/...le/rescue-1.jpgRescue Squad 1 - 1997 Ford/Ferrara walk-in Heavy RescueAnd this is our Hazmat squad:http://www.indianafiretrucks.com/pictures/...le/hazmat-1.jpgFormer HazMat - 1986 Ford/Bluebird 1997 Evansville Fire Isnt that pitiful and ugly?now THAT, is a freaky trucknot ugly, but freakyIMO its just odd looking with the hanging mirrors. They do seem much safer but I think they look odd.
