Newfoundking
well you could place the gas as a simple piece of debris like the rest that go away after time, however this one can catch fire...
Guest Taylor
Tanker truck rollover, dispatch HAZMAT?
Newfoundking
Well IDK if HAZMAT could do that, but if they could, that would be a really cool thing to have, because then they would have a bit more use, but sticking to realism, how often is HAZMAT called out to a gas spill from a car in an MVA?(serious question, IDK)

Don't you think so?
MikeyPI
Basically it would have to be a fuel truck or something similar to be contaminating, but it would behave like the fire does, if it was burning it'd infect others through the gas cloud... generally that isnt totally realistic looking and I'm not sure if we can associate that with car accidents anyway, good idea though for changing it up. jab16
well if it came down to a truck or somthing else i would chose a train car because most contaminated items are shiped by trian but if they are by truck there is always a police escourt. PFAexplorer
i find that to be inaccurate..you can have chlorine on a tanker truck and i never see PD. if that explodes/ignites you get a big problem..

Xplorer4x4
how often is HAZMAT called out to a gas spill from a car in an MVA?(serious question, IDK)Never that I know of. Not hear atleast. A pumper would be dispatched and they would put down sand or something like that let it soak up, and then they clean it up with a shovel. We have an old 80's Ford School Bus(short bus) for hazmat and I have only seen it code 3 to an event once or twice and that was back during the big anthrax threat like 5-10 years ago. PFAexplorer
i was talkin radioactive and nuclar waste.oh, well in the game a contamination is never specified, so thats where i was lost, but it would be cool to have a chlorine truk flip Never that I know of. Not hear atleast. Ami89E1234
Off-topic: the tanker in the EM3 mission will ALWAYS explode (at about 14 minutes). you have to have all ur units cooling it beforehand so when it does blow, it doesnt start a huge fire (let that happen once. was not fun)

In some cases if its handled by a county dept they do have HES type trucks, well some do. In such case they might just dispatch the HES, but I cant go into details on that.Off-topic: the tanker in the EM3 mission will ALWAYS explode (at about 14 minutes). you have to have all ur units cooling it beforehand so when it does blow, it doesnt start a huge fire (let that happen once. was not fun)Thats what i said isnt it? Guest Taylor
HAZMAT is always out for a spill to clean it up. If it's on fire, they leave and let it burn lol. It could be the fact that our FD doesn't carry the stuff and only HAZMAT does.. I'm not talking a gas leak in a family car, but a tanker truck or something. I might be able to find some info on the people who transport the Radioactive/Nuclear waste other than what is seen in the picture.https://fmt.kcp.com/OSTfederalagent/http://www.cma.army.mil/aboutcma.aspxFound. Might be interesting to do a mission with escorting this stuff or something. From what I understand, they're some of the most highly trained people in tactical ops the U.S. has, and always do well in competition.
Newfoundking
Well, maybe, I was just wondering about if a gas leak from a family car would be put into game... Sorry for taking us so off topic. I grant the mods premission to beat me. But only once, and not too badly, it is a first offence I am being charged with!

Guest GB619
I think we need to start a thread called general LA MOD discussion,as this thread is really about the new freeplay map,not really a place to discuss what we want in a map, does anyone else agree
pyrothijs
I think we need to start a thread called general LA MOD discussion,as this thread is really about the new freeplay map,not really a place to discuss what we want in a map, does anyone else agreeWe tried that about three times already. It didn't work. People kept coming with the same suggestions over and over again while they simply weren't viable. Thats why all of the suggestion topics are closed at the moment. We like to keep everything about the new freeplay map in this topic to prevent another (fourth!) suggestions topic be formed.
