andrew2007 Posted January 7, 2009 Report Share Posted January 7, 2009 Hi Everyone,I've decided to plan and task a small mod that i may or may not expand upon.Basically, this is going to be a big learning phase for me, but possibly, with approval i can release it to a few select people.There won't be any new missions or a map or anything just yet, just some reskinned vehicles and personnel.The mod will be based upon the emergency services in Australia, particularly the NSWFB.Are there any people on here that wouldn't have a problem with me contacting them if i need some help, have a question or advice?I will update this thread with my progress, but now, i will not commit to releasing it nor will i commit to 100% finishing it, as my skills aren't that advanced yet, and i may get fed up with it and decide to dump the whole lot (Which i hopefully won't).P.S: If anyone would like to assist me in reskinning or making a mission or so, feel free to contact me.Update: If anyone has any resources or tutorials,etc that they can suggest i use/follow when doing this i would appreciate this a lot aswell Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mikey made a FAQ for this in the FAQ section. It explains which tools you need before starting. Just take a look there. After you've changed the .dds file to a workable format you can open it with the image program and you can change the layout of the vehicle. Then save the new lay out, convert the file back to .dds format and replace the original file with the changed file. If you need anything, I can provide info and pictures/uniforms etc on Ambulance Service of New South Wales and Ambulance Victoria (formerly Rural Ambulance Victoria and Metropolitan Ambulance Service). andrew2007 Posted August 31, 2009 Author Report Share Posted August 31, 2009 Hi All,I thought I'd dig up this topic and let you all know that this mod is going ahead, It's date of release is unknown as of yet, but we propse give it at least 4 months to get a basic version out. As that allows us time to plan, skin, etc and make the initial release of the mod as stable as possible.Shane Green, along with Myself will be working on this mod, but if anyone else is interested in working as part of the team with skinning or modeling, We'd be interested in and looking forward to hearing from you.
