Edit:Made two screenshots showing an explosion.Was attacking a convoy and shot two torpedo's into this Japanese modern large tanker.The ship didn't sink yet but stayed behind, because I apparently damaged the engine's or propellor.Three destroyers came looking for me, but didn't manage to find me.So I waited silently on 170 feet below the surface until the convoy was far away enough to surface my boat.Shot twice with the deck cannon and a huge explosion on the ship destroyed it. You are the commander of a submarine and have to complete missions such as destroying cargo ships etc, while trying to avoid being sunk by enemy ships.Silent Hunter 3 was German Submarines, Silent Hunter 4 is US submarines. Silent Hunter 4 is about the US Submarines during WW2 in the Pacific, so you fight against the Japanese. The game is a simulator and not easy to learn, but you can change difficulty levels drastically. They made the game as realistic as possible. For example, when you start in Pearl Harbor you really need to travel more than 4.000 nautical miles to get to Japan, but there is a time accelerator to speed it up. There is no demo. Long story short, the destroyers ended up blowing up the aircraft carrier because i was on the other side of it. And by the time the carrier sunk, they were out of ammo The ammo and vehicle boats are the best.
