Guest private R clark Posted January 14, 2008 Report Share Posted January 14, 2008 this is a request from a freind who has obtained em4 in french (thanks to me and emergency-planet with topics for links where to buy the game)he recives a error msg and his desktop freezes (pickup3e0): error symbol restrict2_ canbe picked up is not defined in current scopeit goes to a blank screen he can hear the music playing for the intro but no picture this error happenes when he tryed playing the la mod and when he installed patch 1.3 fr ive tryed testing it with my game and mines working fine so i dont get why he's recieving this msg we tryed microsoft help ask.co.uk and googled it but to find no information on this dose any 1 know what may be causing this pleaseand how to fix it if so step by step or images showing how to fix as he is not very good on pc's hes more of a games console wizkid thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

What did he exactly do to egt the error?ive left my freind to type his problem ive already had patch 1.1 and 1.2 downloaded from other sources. installed patch 1.3 from this site tryed to play la mod which had installed earlier r clark passed this on to me via download and checked this to make shure all file where correct ever since i installed patch 1.3 error has come up this also was coming up when i tryed to load la mod in the actual game private r clark put in a copy of the english translation which was kindly given to him off another member of this site from the old em3 site i have both files language files backed up as is aware as stated in the mod don't change anything in the data folder also reinstalled the game tryed to play la mod again error still coming up i just carnt figure out what is causing this error badly want help so i can play the la mod but with this error its inpossible any help is appriciated Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
