Hi ,

I downlaoded a map from the database. so i can use used its size ( Because i dont know what must the size be )

Then I ereased all that was in the map picture , and i started with the map in 1 colour.

Then i started making roads etc....

then (i wasnt ready) I checked the size ,it was not 15Mb anymore , It was 121Mb.

is that possabile ?

And when i put it in game the map came not in its original colours , it came in white and many distored colours.

Im Using ULEAD Photo Express.

What can i do to have it in smaller size ?

You saved it as .jpg? Then the size is quite big.

But I think each program uses a different compression method (jpg = compression) to create a .jpg file.

Ulead Photo Express probably doesn't compress that much, so you will get a larger file than normal.

In Adobe Photoshop I can change the amount of compression.

well i tried to use photoshop, i managed to work a little..

but when i save the map to tga

( both by Ulead photo express , and by Photoshop the map in the editor comes like this )
