emergency4freak
With the BLS and ALS ambulances ingame, you can only transport one patient, and have one FF/PM on board with them for treatment while driving. Also, as to an earlier post I noticed, ambulances will generally never transport two patients (or atleast in Canada), depending on the situation. For the most part, they will only transport one, with a firefighter and/or paramedic on board in the rear of the ambulance to assist with the patient while one drives (of course). However, if you have 2 VERY minor injuries for patients, then I don't see why they couldn't be transported together. But remember, Canadian and American ambulances (Like the Ford's ingame), are not very big in the patient holding area, and are only meant for one stretcher, with additional seating for paramedics. Finally, on the post about points being awarded for escorting, I don't personally think that makes very much sense, because it is just a single police officer (or two), driving in front of an ambulance assuring the patient gets to the hospital safely. If it were a real situation, they wouldn't be getting paid any extra for escorts, but meh, whatever right?em4freak
Xplorer4x4
One thing I would like to see in the ambulances is the capability of transporting two patients, most ambulances in the us have room for 2 patients. Is there a way I can change that myself?Room maybe? How often have you seen 2 patients in one ambulance?
Maffegozer
@ FDNYRes1cue, if you want this. then just change the parameters!
Newfoundking
I have seen that once, and that was a short haul transport of two minorly injured patients after a plane crash, they were not brought all the way to a hospital, but only to a makeshift temporary center before being transported, 1 to an ambulance to the hospital. STILL Get back to topic now, stop talking about realism or how something is not.
Sgt.Wulf
Ofcourse ambulances transport multiple people if the injuries aren't that bad. A broken finger on the other and a bloody nose on the other, for example after a car crash. In these cases the patients just sit both on the stretchers. So, this aint the problem, but the problem is that the game does not model slight injuries. Only severe where patients cannot walk nor sit, so as long as the game has only severely injured patients, there is no point adding this. They can lie on the bed simultaneously. Guest firemanzac
I have typically seen and transported a serious (vs. critical) patient via the stretcher/cot and one serious or not so serious on a backboard on the long bench seat that is in most ambulances. Its actually pretty common on Car wrecks and MCI's.Ofcourse ambulances transport multiple people if the injuries aren't that bad. LACityFFengineCo287
me two i wish you my best, also i heard that californa has used 109 million out of there 155 million dollar forest fire buget but FEMA can pay back 75% or somthing like thatThanks, FEMA is going to pay back, cause we're still in the first few months of fire season, and still have through november to go. It wouldn't be realistic to carry more than 1 patient. The only time i've seen more than 1 "patient" is in the back of a coroner's van o.O back to the topic, this mod's gonna be awesome! ShaneGreen
I have typically seen and transported a serious (vs. critical) patient via the stretcher/cot and one serious or not so serious on a backboard on the long bench seat that is in most ambulances. Its actually pretty common on Car wrecks and MCI's.I remember about 20 years ago when ambulances transported up to 4 stretcher patients in the back - they were stacked up like bunks in the back - two up top and two underneath (and the vehicles were not much bigger than a station wagon). But there was no treatment on the way to hospital, they either made it, or they didn't. - note: that was before my time, I'm not quite that old Many/most ambulance service providers have moved away from having the bench seat in the rear of ambulances for two reasons.1. in favour of providing appropriate supportive seating in which the Paramedic can be safely restrained (Occupational Health abd Safety consideration),2. to avoid the temptation of placing a second stretcher patient in the rear of the ambulance. The benchmark for emergency ambulance configurations today is one stretcher patient to one ambulance. If there are further stretcher patients, then additional ambulances are required. It is the only way to provide optimal care for the patient, as you cannot effectively monitor and manage two patients at once. If you have a patient/patients with minor injuries that can sit in a seat, then they can be transported, so long as they don't require active treatment. There areas in which I work often involve remote locations and limited resources, however, these rules still apply, even if the next nearest ambulance is 1 hour or more away.Remember that there are always exceptions to the rules - sometimes we have to be a little bit creative , just the other day we had 3 patients from a serious MVA and transported all three in the one ambulance (1 stretcher and 2 sitting - one of the sitters should have been a stretcher patient), we could not afford to wait the 55 mins for the second ambulance as one patient was time critical and would barely survive the 50 minute drive to the hospital as it was. - Gotta do what you gotta do.There are two stretcher ambulance configurations that are used for non-emergency patient transport. That's my 50 cents worth (or maybe 1 dollar). I hope I don't get into trouble from the new Moderator for staying off topic Congrats NFK.Take careShane

Hoppah
Removed the warning. Double posting is annoying, but relatively harmless. We're not supposed to give a user a warning after a small offend like this, even if the user did things in the past. You're supposed to warn when the user ignores the moderator's instructions. FDNYRes1cue got his punishment, he was not able to access the forum for 2 or 3 weeks. I don't think he made the double post on purpose.
