Newfoundking
Question, how come deck gun won't work with the hoses, did you turn that off, or did something get fr*gged up?
Hoppah
Question, how come deck gun won't work with the hoses, did you turn that off, or did something get fr*gged up?I turned it off, because I think it was unrealistic.
LittleFoX
Yeah, using the deckgun and the hoses at the same time always felt like cheated to me nice additions

Pearl71
I turned it off, because I think it was unrealistic. i agree to a point, but with the larger fires i think it would come in handy, like the gas explosions on the other side of town (that get 2 or 3 buildings involved) it would be nice to have the option to operate hand lines as well as the deck gun. all the big fires ive been 2 we've used multiple hand lines as well as deck guns. oh well i'll learn to cope, your the master of it all and iam sure i'll figure it out and be able to change it later anyways...thanks! keep up the great work hoppah cant wait to see the tiller video! saxguitar
I meant the ladder itself not the entire vehicle
O'Neill
I'm kind of disappointed the cannon will be disabled while hoses are attached but I'll manage. I'm looking forward to the rapid hose detachment and the unit arrival radio call. Sounds awesome.
Hoppah
I meant the ladder itself not the entire vehicleHard to test, because the tower has 4 visible ladder parts, the tiller 3 and 1 invisible. I did that because the 4th ladder never slides out in the game. And I am pretty sure real tillers have only 3 as well. The ladders of the tiller and the tower have almost the same length, so they can both reach the same spots theoratically. It might look different on the screenshots, but that's the way I placed the ladders on the trailer.
Newfoundking
The ladder itself is a bit longer than the one on the ladder truck, because the trailer part of the tiller, is as long as the ladder truck, if not a bit longer... Keep in mind though, this will not have a bucket like the ladder truck
jgreene
I turned it off, because I think it was unrealistic. I disagree. I am a firefighter and have had fires where we have run our crosslays and run the deck gun at the same time. As long as we have water flowing to our tank and the pressure stays up, there is no problem.
saxguitar
Well it was taken off for realism, if a supply line was ever put into the game then it could be put back i think
Hoppah
A deck gun plus 4 hose connections at the same time made the game way too easy. That's the main reason. But it's not very hard to reverse that back again, I will write instructions for that.
Guest Taylor
Hey Hoppah, how about if we put another firefighter in the fire engine, we deploy the 4 for hoses and then the one for the deck gun.. is that feasible or not?
Paramedic_Engine_2
I do think that, when using the deck gun a firefighter has to be operating it, it is so cheat in game when you pull up on an working car fire and extinguish it with a deck gun with personnel getting out of the rig. Bob
I kind of feel like the tiller could use more lights. It's got a lightbar at the front and that little one on the back; maybe a few strobes on the sides?
Newfoundking
he doesn't do it to be lit up, he does it realistically
Bob
I know, I found a video on YouTube before I posted which showed a LAFD tiller with 2 or 3 strobes on the side of the cab and the trailer.

Hoppah
speaking of which did i see a new anmation in one of the pics where the ff is on top of the joining of the cab and trailerYou mean the screenshot with the tiller on the intersection. There was a fireman standing behind the tiller. Not on it, although it looks like that. Hoppah, could it be possible to have a ff ride in the back of the till?- JonFor what use? I don't think it's worth to spend my time on that.I still have to do most of the lights of trailer. Just forgot about them.
