Los Angeles Mod v2.1 - djchill version

I've been working on my own version of LA mod, with a few edits to suit my preferences more. These include mostly LED lightbar fixtures, heavy equipment squad replacing hazmat at fire station 2 and a few new units.

note, there's a bug where downloading a zip of the mod from github causes in game crashes. But if you download git and clone the repository on your machine, it'll work.

Hopefully releasing in this way should mean there's never an unavailable download link due to mega being down, and you can always experience the latest changes as they happen.

How to play

If you have git installed on your device, you can constantly fetch the latest version of this mod. Otherwise you can download a zip of the entire modification from a mirror link below. If you download a zip file, extract it to your emergency 4 mods folder.

Probably not, unless I look into how to create these. It's simple to install though, download a zip file by pressing the top right button on github, extract and copy into your emergency 4 mods folder http://www.emergency-planet.com/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png

every time I go to play the mod it crashes

I just downloaded and tested the latest version of master and it's working fine here. You can check your logfile to find out what's going on as it crashes doesn't help enough to diagnose if there's an issue.

I just redownloaded it ill tell you if it works. It when I go into modifications and I go to put it in my game it doesn't load it just goes black and I return to my desktop.

Just saying, when I downloaded this and opened the game it didn’t work. The map downloads, but the loading screen doesn’t work and the cars and buildings are these mesh cage looking things.

Have been able to reproduce by downloading the latest github master. Uploading a working zip to this site http://www.emergency-planet.com/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png

 

EDIT: the download section is erroring each time I try to upload a file. If you can upload your logfile with the crash that'd be useful to diagnose.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I downloaded the mirror and extracted to Mods folder. I click on the LA Mod in the game menu, but it still just crashes back to the Steam home screen.

I'm not sure then. We had a multiplayer group going on this mod last night, and they all downloaded the wetransfer link (mirror 1) succesfully without crashes.

I took the effort to follow the instructions to clone the github download and it works. Is it okay if i upload it on a site and put a link here for people to download it easily?
