I will likely be including a few of these. Not quite sure on the USFS though, I was hoping for a larger fullsize pickup. Hopefully one of them surfaces. A Chevy LUV would be usable for civilian use though. I've seen a couple full size dodge and chevy trucks for USFS but they were either service rigs, normal pickups without a light bar, or were classified as a light engine. I do have a FB group I'd reccomend if you'd like to see more vintage USFS info. It has alot of info on other 80s and 90s engines and non emergency vehicles. https://facebook.com/groups/366971211187437/ (Edit) also have a few LAPD misc photos I'd like to share, pretty sure a few of these are service vehicles but I cannot confirm.
KV-1
Hey, I just had a bloody crazy but revolutionary idea. Maybe once you finish the 90s and 80s versions, maybe you should dive further into history by making a 70s, 60s, and 50s one. Just a thought, that way we could have the American Lafrance Duplexes, the Mack 45U cabs, the Seagraves, older Firecoaches, all that. Just a thought. pianyin
The light is a bit awkward. I think it can be improved, just like the old version

Odawg06
What was the new ambulance that was added? I didn't see it, I might just not be looking hard enough. Thanks in advance.
Odawg06
Also, how do y'all like to respond to protests in this mod? I find it quite troubling without the water cannon. Thanks in advance.

I find it quite troubling without the water cannon. Thanks in advance. Personally I use police men's direct pedestrians feature to push the crowd as far back as fast as possible. Then I park a car right next to the guy with the sign, catch him quick and put him in the car as quickly as I can. That keeps the other people from killing my officers and ends it before they throw firebombs.
miles451
I got another unique engine that LAFD rostered. LAFD ordered a few IH van pelts in 1970 and they lasted in service past when the modern unit numbers were adopted which was sometime in the early 80s. These were slightly underpowered and mainly used in areas with very few high rise buildings. I have also been looking for photos of the 1972 ford pumpers but there isn't much out there for those. https://www.lafire.com/fire_apparatus/LAFD-ApparatusPhotoGallery/photopages/Engines/sn-060000/sn060252_1970VanPeltTriple1000-400.html

Unfortunately it looks like I won't be doing that. I'll be leaving off the older eras to other modders. I'll finish up more assets and add what I promised but I won't do older time periods. Rather, I have new projects in the works for retro and modern modding that are set in new places. I've been doing LA for too long and it's time I tried other places, and other time periods. A huge thanks to everyone who sent references. Keep it up, friends. 6

miles451
Looking good, I especially love the ranger and the oldsmobile. I have another photo I'd like to share I have no idea where exactly I found it. It's another angle of the crown tiller that I don't think any of the previous photos have shown. 1
itchboy
Merry Christmas! I have more updates for civs. I also found a whole bunch of new spec for county FD but I won't clutter the thread with it. It does mean that I will be making a few new county FD squads, and the county FD engine lineup may be expanded. Spoiler
AgentSmith6
Fantastic work on both, I love the Ford especially. Have you thought about adding a truck to the LACoFD as well? I'm sure you're sick of doing police cruiser variants, but I just stumbled on this photo and thought it was a unique lightbar configuration enough to share (Credit Erik Olsen:
miles451
I haven't had much motivation to search for reference recently, but today, I was able to find more photos of the Thibault rigs, or more specifically, the variation that is present with them. The first one is the open cabs, which seem to all be set up with the sirens on the front bumper, unlike the cab models. and a bubblegum light and steady burns mounted on the top of the windshield frame similar to the seagraves. These two are what the cab Thibaults looked like upon arrival and up until a certain timeframe when the single rotating lights were replaced with Code 3 XLs. The last two are from (possibly) late-80s up until the mid-90s when the rigs were retired. The white top, I assume, was also a later modification and was only present on the one as far as I'm aware.
itchboy
Thank you Miles, and everyone who provided pictures. Even with Montana mod's release and subsequent post-release bugfixes, I am still working on retro content. For the time being, I am revising some older models already in the mod, and making new civilian assets. Spoiler I don't have as much content finished due to my time being divided between 2 mods.

Reveal hidden contents I feel like the LAcoFD is a whole Pandoras box that for everyones sanity can't be opened, quite a few pieces of apparatus lmao. In terms of LAFD here is another photo of the Snorkel, this time with an updated lightbar.

But It would be with the older lighting.
AgentSmith6
Itch, not sure if you've seen this forum, but this thread has a few interesting photos of the "lo-pro" CHP cruisers from the 80s, including an interesting Dodge Diplomat. If nothing else, just interesting for reference http://www.specialservicemustang.net/forums/showthread.php?t=5341&page=2

itchboy
I don't have anything new currently. In the meantime, I'll be contributing some more to the photo resources. More apparatus photos have surfaced. Specifically, we have encountered more variations than seen before.
