RestingVermin
Read last post! Hey everyone! I am here today to announce by popular choice I will be starting a Las Vegas modification! Here is some information about the mod! I'm thinking of not overdoing it with units. So when the area is decided I will be including the fire station that is in that area and have other stations around the area come off map as additional units for when you need them. For police. If the area does have a police station then that will be included but if not then there will be no police station so they will come off map. I'm thinking of making some parking spots for them to park in. Ambulances. Depending on what fire department that will be on the map there will be different units. But this is what I know now for the Clark County ambulances. They are stationed with the fire units. So depending on how many the stations has, that's the amount you will have on map. There will be other ambulances as well but they will also come off map. I will be making my own models of vehicles, buildings and objects! I want to make sure you guys get as much say in this modification as you deserve. After all, I will be making this public when released. Now remember that I will post updates when I have time! Thank you guys and I hope you will be following this mod : )

Sociopath
Good luck man, I know a lot of us will love to see some thing different than New York City and Los Angeles.
itchboy
IMO, the most systematic way of starting out would be to replace the units most people play with. This setup should be enough to get you started. For FD: one fire engine, one ladder, one equipment/rescue truck For PD: one police car EMS: one ambulance TEC: engineer's car For ex, making 10 ambulances while technically is progress, it leaves the remaining sections of the game missing. Fire Dept. Boston
Small mods can also be great. Whats about a small map with one fire station on a typical street in las vegas?
itchboy
That would be a possible concept as well. One station only, everything comes from off map (but in limited quantities to avoid spamming). It would require a lotta modelling though, having to do Las Vegas blvd for ex. RestingVermin
That could be an option that I could do. I'll setup a poll for it and see what you guys think.
Axxif
I just wanna point out that the majority of the Strip (all the hotels and casinos in the Vegas Metro area) is located in Paradise, which is protected by the Clark County Fire Department, not the LVFR. That being said, it would be interesting to see more of the non-gambling side of the area lol My suggestion is to pick where you want your map to be located/based on, then build it. Once you've got that (with the fire station or two within it), then place the actual staffing of those stations.

aleovic5
If you're going with the single fire station...I think it would be cool to see one that has lots of detail and interaction with it. Give the guys the ability to go into an actual station uniform instead of being stuck in bunkers (turnout gear) 24/7. If I'm not mistaken I believe it was in the helping peter mod where the characters actually possessed the ability to sit down, lay down, etc... just some food for thought
RestingVermin
About the map. If you guys choose a smaller map then I will then look into where I would have it based of. I'm strongly considering Las Vegas Blvd but there is tons of modeling that I'll have to do. So I'll think about that. The firefighters will hopefully be able to change in and out of the bunker gear. The ability to sit down will be conidered and I'll look into that! For right now, I have started work on a Crown Victoria Police Interceptor (CVPI). After I know where the map will be and what units I need for the fire department then I will start work on fire/ems! Any suggestions and information is very appreciated! Thanks!
itchboy
The way I see it, whether you're doing a one station - one street setup, or a full summarized map of LV, you still need to make both LVFD and county FD. Best compromise would be to make one engine from each dept, and whatever ambulance. Those vehicles would still exist regardless of what setup you choose. Once the polls come in, you will have to focus the majority of vehicles to either city or county FD.

I will be sending RestingVermin the links to the stuff I have found through digging (including a full fire station number and address list for all 4 departments) through skype soon. Thats up to OP to figure out. Having too many units doing the same thing often makes the work put into making said unit redundant. He has to tread carefully with what he wants put in and what role it will play in actual gameplay. Multiple depts for ex could be given unique features each. An example: LVFD has extend hose, CCFD can do wyes but not hoses, North LV has no special features.

RestingVermin
For the area. It will be up to you guys! Now I'm ending the poll and the option with smaller map won. So now please give me suggestions on what are you want to see and I will make a poll of the suggestions I get. I'm thinking of not overdoing it with units. So when the area is decided I will be including the fire station that is in that area and have other stations around the area come off map as additional units for when you need them.
