I need help downloading mods "a few of them"

I have winrar and when I download certain mods there's the application that has a em4 logo on it and I can download but I want to know how to download ones that have just files no application. Please help

Yes like I download a mod for example harbor city mod and there's just the moddin files no aplication to download

Your question isn't worded very well, no reason to be rude to people that are trying to help.

Are you saying you don't know where to put the files? Or that you don't know how to download them? There are so many topics that answer this, but I'll give you the short version. Open the compressed file (.zip, .rar). Inside is usually a folder with the name of the mod. Put that file directly into the mods folder of your game. (Your game files will be in a different place if you have 911FR vs EM4)

If that's not what you're asking, you should re-word your request.

I'm saying that I know how to download ones with the application but when there just folders with textures and no application i dont know how to download it

The ones that are just folders should have installation instructions.. IF it is a sub-mod type of mod it will have to be extracted into the folder of the "master" mod (IE a submod for LA mod will have to be extracted into the LA mod folder).   IF it is a standalone mod then you should just have to extract a primary folder into your mods directory, the rest of the structure should be extracted from there for you.  In short, look for a README file or instruction txt document in the main folder of the mod... They should provide exacting instructions on what their mods require and how to install it.

So I went through the files and there's only things saying thanks to everyone and not how to install and if this helps im the person who isn't really good with computers and I only know how to download mods with the application

So if it is a .e4mod file you need to install it with the mod installer that should have came your game.

To find it go to your start menu and search "911 mod installer" once it opens click install package find where you downloaded the file to and click open the rest should be done automaticly

Are you asking how to install mods in the .e4mod format? Or how to download them a certain way?

 

If you are asking how to install, follow these steps.

 

For .e4mod files

1. Extract the .e4mod file to a location you know about.

2. Right click on your EM4/911:FR desktop icon.

3. Click "Open File Location"

4. You should see a file called "Modinstaller.exe". Double click it. If it asks for your permission to run, click Yes.

5. Click "install package". You should be opened up to a file browser.

6. Find where you put the .e4mod file. Click it once, then hit "Open" (Or you can double click).

7. The mod installer should install it. If you get an error that says the game isn't properly installed, there is a topic that will assist you in fixing this issue.

8. Close and play.

 

If you are asking how to download it to a certain way, there isn't a way to do that unless the mod is released that way. Most mods nowadays use the Folder method, but there are still some who use the .e4mod way.

As WildcatsMike said, many mods still opt to use the e4mod format due to the filesize and compression, it allows for mods to be significantly smaller when downloaded, and easily installed, with no questions about where to put files.
