MedicalByte
If you have Windows 7/8 or a Mac, you can try out Open Broadcaster Software (https://obsproject.com/), it's free and open source. I've used it for locally recording Emergency 4 on Windows 8.I had to turn up the quality and tweak a few other settings to get it to record without tears or video artifacts, but it works great for me now. Here's a guide I used (and can vouch for) that works pretty well for me: https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/how-to-make-high-quality-local-recordings.16/

MedicalByte
Well, first you need to add a capture source. In this case, you'll have to use the "Game Capture" source instead of the other options for Emergency 4. 1. Right click the white area for the "Sources:" box and select "Add->Game Capture". 2. Type a name into the box that appears. 3. Select the "[Em4]" application from the drop-down menu on the next screen, leave the default values, and click 'OK'. 4. Now click "Settings->Settings" in the file menu bar. 5. Click "Broadcast Settings" in the left pane, then change the mode to "File Output Only". Set the file path to wherever you want the videos to be saved, and then setup the hotkeys as you prefer so you don't have to minimize the game to start/stop recording. Just some more tips:- If you run Emergency 4 as an administrator, you must run OBS as admin too, else it won't be able to do the game capture.- You only have to set where you want the videos to be saved once. It will automatically rename the new videos as you create them (e.g., "file.mp4", "file(01).mp4", "file(02).mp4", etc.)- If you change the OBS settings as per the guide I referenced in my previous post, keep in mind you will not only need decent hardware, but also a good amount of hard drive space, as it can/will eat it up for higher quality recordings. BeastyBill88
I use OBS once you know how to set it up, its great, it doesn't lag at badly as what Fraps or or recording software does. But that really depends on your system.
