[PRIVATE] Blues & Two's Submod [London Mod Reskin/Map Edit]

Hey everyone,

I've been working on this for the last few days and I thought I would share what I've done. My 1st plan was to use the Welfordshire models on the London map... But it didn't work out properly, so I decided to reskin the London models and edit the map. They are only minor edits with the vehicles and I have increased the size of the blue light coronas on all vehicles.

Thanks guys, I am trying to get some more stuff done for the map and reskinning/adding more vehicles, but unfortunately I won't be looking to get permission, as others have tried and have been denied from the creators.

The skin fitted the damaged BMW which I got from the emergency fan forums, just added the "broken" lightbar and the damaged paint work.

Technically it is working because the police barrier from the LA mod only halts people and the accident sign from the West Midlands mod is only an object. So your argument is invalid, now unless you have some constructive criticism... Please keep quiet!

It looks great and it works, my only question is: is the light necessary? It would also be great for eye candy purposes if you could do multiple i.e. you have 'ROAD CLOSED' but you could also have 'ACCIDENT', 'SLOW' and 'STOP'. Although I appreciate that's a lot of work for no real gain

Are you considering reskinning the cones to Red/White rather than Orange/White? Make them look a bit more British...?

Just a couple of thoughts, keep it up, its looking good

Thanks Oh the light, yeah I put that on there so I know which way its facing lol. I have actually got another one which is the construction version (the red and white one) which says road closed, will post a picture of it when I get around to it. I have indeed though about the traffic cones, even though I don't use them that often, it will still look nice if they where red/white. Thanks for the feedback OC-D I appreciate it.

Thanks guys. I should actually post some more updated pictures/videos from the mod seeing as I have reskinned all the police vehicles properly this time lol I have also changed the train crash event (just added more debris).

Hi guys, I have been meaning to update this topic for a while. I have been busy with work and I spend easter in hospital. Don't worry I'm better now lol. I finally got around to reskinning the police vehicles properly so they aren't just white versions of the original London units.

What I have changed to the vehicles:

• All police vehicles have new liveries with modern aerial roof markings (not 100% accurate)
• Edited the lights on all vehicles, different patterns brighter lights etc.
• Fire & ambulance service vehicles now have more lights and rear facing blue/red lights
• Edited/added commands for vehicles. For example the ambulance as a command to open the rear door (more realistic).
• Fire engines (pumper/ladder (not the aerial ladder) now have the rapid deployment working, aswell as commands for firefighters to ready up for RTA/structure fires.

New police liveries - I based them off a generic livery but I think they turned out pretty good

Thanks Julian I will be working on the fire units next, I'm thinking about using the battenburg for them instead of the stripes. I'll post some update pics when I get it done.

For those of you who are interested. I have updated the fire units. I did have some problems with the livery as the door texture was mirrored. But as you can see in the images its fixed As I don't use the two great big MAN trucks they aren't included in the images.

Also all vehicles which have rotary lights on them now have "working" rotaries and spin at different speeds as they would in real life. I will post a video when I have time.
