EmergencyFan97
I'm having some problems unlocking the large rescue ambulance skins from LA mod. I'm doing exactly as the tutorial in the LA mod section says, except that the files do not show up when I look for them after clicking 'Unpack File'. Could anyone offer a suggestion as to why this is?
Zach1019
When you are unlocking them they don't automatically go back to dds files. You have to look for the V3O file that you unlocked. Here are the instructions again:Find your dds fileChange the name from large_ambulance.dds to large_ambulanceTT.v3oThen click yes to the file change/entention and then open the editorOnce the editor is open load up your mod. Then go to UNPACK and find the large_ambulanceTT.v3o file, click on it, and the click OKExit the editorGo back to the large_ambulanceTT.v3o file and change it to large_ambulance.ddsTry to do it the way I just explained and let me know what happens. Zach1019
look for the v3o file with the same name
EmergencyFan97
It's not there. I know where I put it and what I named it. It's simply not there for some reason.

EmergencyFan97
Actually, I have a laundry list of DDS files to be unlocked. But the LRA files are the only ones I KNOW I have problems with, so here they are.https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BzgdIE0Gzd3UNmphWXI1aXhVMW8/edithttps://docs.google.com/file/d/0BzgdIE0Gzd3UVDZBaF9DcWZUYkU/edithttps://docs.google.com/file/d/0BzgdIE0Gzd3UeE90ZEM4X3M3UUU/edit

stevenew95
Okay you've got to be doing something wrong...there isn't a reason why your files shouldn't be loading unless your not loading your mod. Zach pretty much gave you the way to do it.The files you need to unlock should be in a folder something like this. 911 First Responders>Mods>La Mod V2.1>Models>Vehicles>and then the dds and v3o files.Your saying, when you change the dds file to a v3o file to unlock it, then load the editor and mod, you cant find the file? EmergencyFan97
OK, so I've gotten a bit farther now. I rename the files to .v3o, go into the editor, load the mod, unpack the files, exit the editor, and then rename them back to .dds. And then none of my image software can parse the files. Not Photoshop, Paint.NET, nor GIMP.
mindcore
I am working on a tool to unpack and pack these files; I just need to finish figuring out the file format! It is some kind of modified GZip compression with a strange header. If anyone has extra information please message me.
