undoing a mod

I had downloaded the 2 mods from hoppah and they worked fine. I tried downloading the LA Mod 2.0 to get the f series ambulance. The Ambulance came with no wheels and doors in the wrong place. On a side note the police cars were messed up. When I asked for a LAPD a Border Patrol would show up as an example. So, I know I didn't install it right so I wiped everything out and started over from reloading EM4. I decided that all I wanted was the F series so I attempted to only install that, again it showed up as before. I went into the editor and put wheels on it a lightbar on front and put lights on it. When I played the game I started having vehicles that would be told to go to the bottom of the map lets say and part way over it would do a uturn and drive to the north. It would drive off the map and you couldn't cancel it or get it back. It would show the vehicle as dispatched and not available. (I have also downloaded the additional mods with the CHP command and USCG pickup etc. As well as the Glendale reskins at previous times. So, I am blaming my stupidity that caused this problem both as I will explain and the uturning and vanishing tow trucks and squad cars.) Anyway when I put everything back in which was just the 2 from Hoppah. When I called the van ambulance to a scene. It showed up with no tires, doors all in unique and impossible places. It also had the lightbar from the F series and the lights I had put on from the f series. The EMS Car also was messed up. I knew this was from my messing around with the editor and putting things on. I took the lights off in the editor and lightbar. So, here is my problem no matter what I do uninstall and reinstall the whole thing redownload fresh copies. The van ambualnce still shows up messed up. I am stumped as how to reset everything back. I didn't rename anything I did so, that is part of my problem. I tried renaming the van ambulance and reloading the mods hoping it would write in a new van ambulance and it didnt change nor did a van ambulance show up in the editor. An example I put wig wags on all the fire and ambulances. When I reinstall the game those changes are still there. Which I assume the uturn and dissapear is still in the system also. How do I clean the slate and start the mod from an unaltered version.

This is interesting. The reason why everything messing up via cars is because you dl the wrong additional units mod.

As to the loading and unloading. Go to your mod file in windows explorer. Click the mod and delete button. That will delete it with no problems. Then just reinstall.

Did that and it still comes back messed up. On a seperate note, when I uninstall the game it asks me if I want to delete the saved games. I click yes, when I reload the saved games are back. No matter what I try it seems to just reload the old version.

Well this is a bit odd... the only thing I can think of is that your not deleting it properly... are you going into the mod folder highlighting the mod file and just deleting it right there and then?

I have tried the unistall of Em4 to completely start over. I have tried deleting the LA Mod 2.1 folder from the files. I have tried reinstalling over it and Em4 both together and seperate. I have tried to find the editor file and go in there to delete it out but that I cant find. So, I am stumped in how to get rid of the goof. Its like it is tattoed into the hard drive.
