quin123
Hello there, there is one thing in EM4 that has been bugging me recently and that is the free play. It just seems a bit unrealistic with all the events at onceso i did some searching around on this forum and found out about the XML files you can edit.My problem is:Every time i edit anything in the XML (fp_params_endless) nothing happens in the game, No events. Nothing.I am editing the London mod (downloaded from this site). example:<MinDurationBetweenEvents value = "130.0" /> thats the default and works fine if the value is that but lets say i change it to 131 the game will not have any events come up ( i waited 20 minutes once to see if anything happened)Same goes for every param in the whole XML, MaxIdleDuration, Avergagefrequency etc. :-(So has anyone any ideas of how to get this to work?i have full access to the file and using notepad++ to edit the XML'sThanks in advancelogfile.txt

Therefore I do this with google translate. I hope you understand.I've just downloaded the London Mod v1.2.e4mod.zip of this forum. I first as it was tested. And then I changed the following lines:<freeplayparameters><MinDurationBetweenEvents value = "130.0" /><MaxIdleDuration value = "5.0" /><Seed value="0"/><BuyFactor value="10.0"/><SellFactor value="0.5"/><GlobalEventFrequencyFactor value="1.0"/><TimeSpeedFactor value="1.0"/><StartBudget value="300000"/><MaxBudget value="500000"/><Earnings value="35000"/><SquadPriceGrowth value="30.0"/><MaxParkingSpace value="35" /><InitialEventFrequencyBoost value="100000.0"/><InitialEventWaitDuration value="5.0"/><starttime value="7:30"/>In these lines:<freeplayparameters><MinDurationBetweenEvents value = "200.0" /><MaxIdleDuration value = "5.0" /><Seed value="0"/><BuyFactor value="10.0"/><SellFactor value="0.5"/><GlobalEventFrequencyFactor value="1.0"/><TimeSpeedFactor value="1.0"/><StartBudget value="500000"/><MaxBudget value="500000"/><Earnings value="40000"/><SquadPriceGrowth value="30.0"/><MaxParkingSpace value="35" /><InitialEventFrequencyBoost value="100000.0"/><InitialEventWaitDuration value="5.0"/><starttime value="11:30"/>I have not had this problem, everything went perfectly.I have them open in notepad. Have them changed. Then saved on my desktop. Copied and pasted into the folder D: \ Program Files \ Wizard Works \ 911 - First Responders \ Mods \ London Mod v1.2 \ SpecsHe asks if you want to overwrite the file. Please copy and replace. If that does'nt work. Please get back to me.

Xandarb
Hello!Every mod has its own parameters, make sure you change them not the games' parameters. Also, try to use the regular notepad.
Chris Van Assche
Tried that and the result was the same, No events happened at all. :-(Did you change everything @ once? I reccomend to change 1 thing and test it. So you would know what or where the problem is.And try to use the usual notepad from windows. Save it somewhere else. And then copy and replace.
