helljumper51
Ok so I know it has been discussed before, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to do it. I was thinking of creating the actual rotator as a child object and then in a script tell it to rotate around an axis(y axis I would assume) Anyone have any ideas if it would work? Dyson
Would be so much effort for very little reward in game. Plus I don't know how it'd hold up while you were driving. Would suggest using lighting techniques to simulate rotary.
RedHawk504
Making an lightbar + animating it is also a option.
sven
Making an lightbar + animating it is also a option. No it is not. The light will shine trough the lightbar as the can shine trough a vehicle.
RedHawk504
No it is not. The light will shine trough the lightbar as the can shine trough a vehicle. So if it go trough a model, it also should shine trough the child
rettungstier
the next problem is that i don't think the light would spin with the rotating part. as long as they are not model related they don't seem to move anywhere!i use a special lighting technique to make rotaries. it's seems to be a lot of work at first but once you got it you can make pretty good looking rotaries...... mmmmhhh ... feels like it's stuff for a tutorial ^^
Wkboy714
Why do all that work and add extra processing burdens to your mod when you can do a perfectly nice and realistic rotary effect with the light editor? ;D
