bama1234
I'm trying to replace Shot01.wav with a new sound file, under the same name. For some reason when I go in-game and test it out, the gunshot sound is silent. I tried compressing the bitrate to 256kbps with no success. The volume is fine, and the file is only 1 second long. Any help and advice is appreciated! (This is in LA mod 2.1/Audio/Fx btw)
Marshall8946
That should work. What I use is 1sec long. 29.5KB.128kbps. And it works fine. Can you lower your bit rate anymore?
killednemo65
I am having the same problem... i downloaded some .wav files off the net. i renamed the sound files exactly as the files they are replacing. however when i try them out in game, no sounds are fired. bit rate is fine because i found other sound files for the game that work that are bigger, and i hear them on windows media player so they are working. please help? bama1234
Thanks for the suggestions. I still can't get it to work. I think it's strange that the bitrate would have anything to do with it... maybe it's hard-coded or something. Regardless, it's annoying... I should be able to simply replace the sound file.

Follow it from the begin till the scripting part begins. Do NOT follow the scripting screens.
