Dyson
Ok...well...I have a 7 piece set with 16" and 18" crashes, a 20" ride (I think), a 14" splash and a little 8" inch splash, a China (don't know what size) and hithats (of course) I also have a double bass pedal and a tamborine/cowbell that attaches to my china stand. I'll get a pic of it for ya guys sometime.About music...I play anything. I'm one of the church drummers (play at school masses and also on the weekends, we have nice music here). I also play in the band (so snare drum, big bass drum, crash cymbals, etc.). At home, I learn a lot of Led Zepellin from my drum teacher, but I like to play Tool or just jam. I also sing a little haha.Sounds good man, I opt for a smaller Jazz style kit, and the money I saved from a smaller kit means I can spend loads on cymbals, recently bought some K series from Zildjian, set me back £300 but was more than worth it! hahaHere's my kit My name is Nick,i haven't updated my information lately so here's the current stuff:I live in Maryland on the Eastern shore, and am currently unemployed...but trying to get a job as either a 911 dispatcher or seasonal wildland firefighter for the National Wildlife Refuge here. I'm 24 years old and married to my college sweetheart, and I have a dog and cat. I have a bachelor's degree in percussion performance, so I have a lot of instruments (though I haven't played a gig in 2 years). I studied intelligence (like national secuirty/military stuff) for a masters degree, but haven't finished my thesis yet. Back in Pennsylvania I was an EMT/security guard at the local casino. I'm trying to get on with the local fire department here.Another percussionist! haha and a major in national security? That's pretty cool dude! haha Good luck with the job prospects
MCERT1
nice kit setup,I'm still lugging around an old pearl export kit that belonged to my brother...But, I spent a ton on my zildjians (all K's) how do you like yours?I also have an electronic kit, but it's just a pain to setup and move around. And yeah I love my Ks, but only saved up for Hi-Hats and one crash so far, so my other crash and ride are still sabian B8s, so get really drowned out in both volume and performance haha. But I do a lot of recordings and they sound beautiful mic'ed up by the college's £800 Neumanns haha
MCERT1
Thanks man, and gotta say not a fan of electro kits, I rarely use them, and only on a need to basis haha.Took me a long time to tweek the roland set till I finally got it where i wanted it at. the best part is the diversity of the kit. i can change and tweek every minuscule aspect of the kit, plus I turned it into a monster kit, I have 16 triggers pads, 2 handsonics, a casio synth, 2 sample 5 pad sets, an airfx, and an airsynth tied into it..,the only things missing are more trigger pads, a malletKat, and a PanKat. It's become my pet project. If you have a chance see if they do a Zildijian vault sale anywhere around you...They do one once a year where I used to live in Ohio. they bring in their best cymbals, and you get to walk through with a representative and choose your cymbals. I picked my full set that way, but it's hard to keep budget when you go...I spent about $2,000 for 2 (18" and 22")rides , an 8" splash, 13" hi hats, and a 16" crash. if you get a chance it is the best way to shop their cymbals. Or atleast there's no main manufacturing plant over here which sucksss
TacticalRooster22
I have all Sabians, they sound nice. My 8" Splash is some signiture cymbal though, the guy just threw it in the package when we bought them. I have a TAMA set, but my dad wants me to get a Ludwig Maple Bohnam set ($3,000). Dyson
Yeah man, the kind I wanted to get, ludwig retros are nicee! haha And yeah I originally had B8s all round, but they were ruining the sound of my recording so I upscaled to Ks and eventually will replace my remaining Sabians with Ks too

TacticalRooster22
Cool! I have E-rings, which muffle the sound pretty well. I also have a sound-proof room (more insulation and the ceiling tiles absorb sound), so my drums sound amazing!
Dyson
Aye I use e-rings too and moon jell, but yeah you really hear the flaws in your kit when you record it, allows you to improve the subtleties haha
BritishArmyReserveCadets
Hehe, im a drummer now, but in the Army Corps of Drums, Dyson has seen a pic of me on facebook with my drum , may uploaded it later on

I've played live before though, and my dad says my drums sound good.@BritishArmyReserveCadets, that's cool. I'm gonna join marching band in high school and hopefully be on the drumline.
