rodneymillerpca
After reading Hoppah's tutorials "Basic Modding Info" located at http://www.emergency...emid=35〈=en and "Adding Vehicles" located at http://www.emergency...emid=35〈=en I attempted to create a new mod for my personal use that included vehicles from other Mods. I know it sounds easy and after 6 attempts costing 31 hours I found out it actually is. If you follow directions carefully and at times hunt through the forum here for little missed clues. As promised once I figured it out (TADA) Here is the Tutorial. Highlighting some of my mistakes and adding a few notes. Also found at my site http://rodneymillerp...isc/e4tut1b.pdfUpdate! The fix for the issues I had with the door axis is in the tut and also here http://forum.emergen...__fromsearch__1 Thank you Xplorer4x4 and Guest_Francis_*Updated to e4tut1b 08/20/2011Just a thought. This method did not work with LA mods aerial ladder. For some reason the base does not show up. Also I think the doors. I just borrowed the NY Mod one.Updated 07/13/2012Had to correct website link.e4tut1b.pdf
Shadylasse
Is this part 1? There's some steps missing to get an actual mod done. This just adds the vehicle to the editor.

I just borrowed the NY Mod one.Does this work for motorcycles?I have a motorcycle that is one of the newer RT1200 models from the London Mod that I would like to use for my own mod. I thought I could just copy and paste all the files (rename all of the associations and edit the files to point to the correct file names) into my mod but seems like some elements are missing.... ThePoliceGuy
You have to open the editor and assign prototypes etc, if your replacing another vehicle with the bike, all the lights will have to be redone aswell.
heyjoojoo
What about adding a new person? I followed the same steps for creating a person but my game crashes to the desk everytime I click on my new vehicle.
ThePoliceGuy
I've never attempted to replace people before but i assume it's exactly the same as a vehicle but without doors etc.
