Problem with adding patrol to a vehicle

Not sure if this is the right thread to post this.Sorry if it isn't

I'm trying to add patrol to light equipment truck and I add it.My problem is I don't know what to save the map as.There's 3 freeplay maps. dfreeplay, freeplay.em and freeplay.em

dfreeplay makes my game crash if I save it.And when I tried the other two, and I go to play the game, the truck doesn't have patrol.

Saving the map has nothing to do with adding patrol command.

You need to be sure you clicked the arrow to put the patrol command from the big list into the smaller list.

I did click the arrow and it was added.Then I saved it.I went to my game and it can't patrol, there's no patrol option.Even though patrol is on the smaller list.:/ Its vcmdpatrol right?

Everytime I go back into the editor, the patrol has been removed.So I know I have to save it.But I'm not sure what to save it as.

There is no special step to save it,

you just

- open your editor

- load the modification

- choose the vehicle

- click on edit

- click edit commands

- find the command highlight it and click ->

- click assign command set

- ok

- ok

- close the editor

CAVE: It is important that you click twice ok and don't X out of the options to save the changes

Now if your vehicle still doesn't patrol it might be that your vehicle doesn't fulfill some prerequisites from the script itself.

Well I changed the light and equipment truck to a EMS car and then I added the 'pmcdambulancepatrol' to the truck and It followed the ambulance patrol route on the map, if any of that helps.......
