Why can i not convert some dds files to another format with dds coverter 2.1?

When i go to reskin the tiller the only part of it i can redo is it's trailer. I want to redo the cabin but it comes up with a message saying error cannot load tiller_cabin. Could anyone tell me how to do it as i am stuck.
