USman
Well for now this will be private, but I would like to combine LA mod vehicles with the MKAD map. For now I just want to get it so i can get the vehicles in the game, no stations or anything like that yet. What needs to be changed and what scripts need to be removed for now and such. I tried just putting the map in but it crashes to desktop. Then I tried to remove scripts like LAfirestation start and the "Goto" scripts but still no luck. Some help would be awesome! Thanks, USman
Xplorer4x4
Hmm post a log file. The commands shouldnt need to be removed so long as you dont use them(like the to fire station command)

Atomic Monkey
I have to warn you, when I peeked at this map for the first time in editor to see how it worked, it was loaded with custom accident sections , traffic triggers , and so forth.. I really doute you will get this "FULLY" working with LA Mod, if you do.. your a god among mapping.

Every map has custom acidents and triggers, but it still uses the games core files to execute them, so its fine.USMan, as for the logfile:http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.php?/forum-42/announcement-4-read-before-requesting-assistance/

Xplorer4x4
Ok try this, find fp_freeplay.script. It will be in the MISSION folder not the Commands folder(when your inside scripts folder). Now open it and remove everything and paste this in there://******************************************************************************************// #Version 1.2#//// Script by Hoppah// // Usage of this script in other mods is NOT allowed without permission of Hoppah////******************************************************************************************bool OnLoad(){ start(); System::SetEnv("e4_doocclusion", 0); Process::Kill(); return true;};
USman
It worked!!! Thanks xplorer I would still like to hear from Atomic Monkey on why the rest wont work...
Xplorer4x4
NP. As for Atomic Monkey, not to offend him but I dont think he knows what hes talking about. I could be wrong, as I havent looked at the map aside from the pics, so assuming it just an eft(texture file), e4m(the map data like VOs and such), and dds file(for the minimap) the map should work just fine. jsutton
Thanks, USmanSo did you get the LA Mod vehicles on the map? I just downloaded the map the other day to check it out and i rather see the LA Vehicles in it and English. USman
Yes I did, as of now it is private, but I have things planed for it. I have put in patrol paths, they need alittle tweeking, and plan to add the fire stations and some other things.
USman
Okay xplorer I lied alittle, it does work but I get error messages when I go to load it. I just hit retry and after hitting it so many times it works, but I would like to not have to do that. i have the error messages posted, if you could tell me what to change that would be great I do not have the best scripting knowlege base yet Thanks, USmanBy epUSman at 2010-10-09By epusman at 2010-10-
USman
Sorry to double post but I need to know if I need to add the spawn checks in order for this to work? I have added all of the VOs and it doesnt work. I looked into the script and saw something about spawn checks... so any help on this would be nice! Thanks, USman
Atomic Monkey
It worked!!! Thanks xplorer I would still like to hear from Atomic Monkey on why the rest wont work...You wont, it was a mistake on my behalf. Something I did to LAMod I think screwed up something else.. Xplorer4x4
you can try this:start();change to://start();Or delete the script completely. I dont think you need the script there at all as the stock game does not use it.
USman
Thanks, but I have found a more prominate error. I have placed all of the stations with corralating VOs and the spawn points and nothing happens when I start the map, but I dont know how to work in the LaFireStationStart scipt. I am not even sure thats what is wrong but I have a strong feeling. I have tried the orgianl script but it CTD and I am not even close to having the scripting skills to figure it out. Thanks, USmanP.S. sorry about the bad spelling, I am sick and extremely tired
Xplorer4x4
Nothing will happen when you start the game. The script mentioned earlier will trigger lafirestationstart.script when freeplay starts. So if you want units spawning you have to go back to the original fp_freeplay.script. SirMoo
If this is the same map I'm thinking ( The Russian one with the Brasilian GOL Airplane )... I was restructuring it at one point in time for LAMOD but stopped in favor of making personal modifications to a map by w00ds. This is a really great map though. I look forward to seeing how far you get.
