Guest alex97
To start off, I would like to make clear that the vehicle models are not mine or Kelvin's. Just the skins are reskinned by me. Kelvin is kindly making the firestations, ambulancepost, police HQ and some lightbars. I will try to get permission from the authors to re-publish the models with my reskin work.Hello everybody! How it startedI'm Alex and I'm from Holland. I started this modification as a 'private mod' for myself, meaning that I would not publish it. After my first skin that I made, I showed Kelvin what he thoughts were of the skin. He said it was pretty good-looking and he asked if he could help out. I said, sure no problem, and now he's helping me out with models. Now, together with my friend kelvin554, I'm going to try to publish the mod.The modThis mod is not based on any city or village. The modification is fictiv, meaning it is all on inspiration. The modification will feature :#New map#New firestations, ambulancestation, police HQ#New lightbars#Scripts that will make gameplay more fun#More to follow..The team Alex : Skinner, little bit of scripting, administrative and other basic things like putting vehicles ingameKelvin : ModdelingWhat/who are we looking for?First of all, we are looking for a name for the modification. Also, we are looking for someone that could help me out with how the emergency services in the UK work and stuff like that, for example : Here in Holland we have certain procedures, like ''middle-fire' ''big-fire'' ''very big-fire'' :Prio 1 Richard Wagnerflat RICHARD WAGNERLAAN 73 VSN Binnenbrand (NB: middelbrand)Prio 1 Richard Wagnerflat RICHARD WAGNERLAAN 73 VSN Binnenbrand (NB: grote brand) 66596 66785 66731 62942Prio 1 Richard Wagnerflat RICHARD WAGNERLAAN 73 VSN Binnenbrand (NB: zeer grote brand)This is just one example, there are more problems, but I'll talk about that with the person who is able to help me.Anybody voluntering to help is welcome to help. kelvin554
Dear users of this forum. Does anyone know a name for this mod?
Guest CHP
Just a little suggestion regarding the lettering on the hood of the police vehicles. Instead of "Traffic Police" the police in the UK have simply "Police" written. In many cases this text is mirrored so that when a vehicle is in front of the police unit, they can read the word "Police" in their rear view mirror. Like I say, just a suggestion for authenticity sake.As for a name, "Blues and twos, UK emergency"
Kookas
Something UK modification ... it's clearly based on the City of London (as opposed to Greater London) I can tell because:1 - The only place with police cars labelled City Police is the City of London, a tiny area within Greater London which is policed separately to Greater London.2 - Those police cars look just like the ones from London in other ways too, for example, that very same Mercedes Vito is shown below:http://upload.wikime..._Police_Van.jpgWhy don't you just call it "City of London Mod" or "London Town" mod?Nice work nonetheless, and for improvement on accuracy:- notice the vans have the logo (rather unprofessionally, I might add) on the side of them.- their cars have logos and such on the side, see below:http://farm4.static...._5f5a011d9a.jpghttp://www.ukemergen...ce/p1160875.jpg- all their vehicles just say "City Police" on the front - there are none that say "Traffic Police" or even just "Police".- although the London Ambulance Service's older ambulances do use that livery, those are actually LDV vans. The Mercedes Sprinters are always yellow.Old LAS Ambulance: http://www.freefoto....rvice+AmbulanceNew LAS Ambulance: http://i.telegraph.c...ce_1350412c.jpgDon't take it harshly, just pointing some things out to help you improve your mod a bit good work so far though.
