La Mod Crashing

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I just purchased E4 (had E3) and tried installing the LA Mod. I have installed both the Mod and 2.02 patch and see the mod under the menu and when I select it it just goes to desktop? I am running xp, E4 works fine just the mod.

thanks

Paul

Nomad & I are buddies. I am having the same problem he is.

Whenever I try to run any of the MOD content of the LA MOD, the game crashes to desktop.

To Clarify:

Everything is installed properly. When I click "Modifications" I see "LA MOD" listed there. I select it, the game pauses for a few seconds, then I am put back to the main menu screen. I click free play, endless game or challenge. The loading screen shows up and the bar completes its way across the window. When it gets to the end, the game crashes to desktop.

My PC:

AMD Phenom 9950 x4

4GB RAM

PNY GTS250 1GB Video Card

Windows Vista SP2 x64

Game:

Emergency 4 v1.3f

The regular game works fine. I just can't get the LA MOD to run.

I checked the game's Crash To Desktop (CTD) file, I have checked all the LA MOD installation instructions and troubleshooting, but the MOD will not run.

A friend of mine is having the same problem on his computer, his is a Windows XP 32-bit with a dual core processor. The normal game works fine for him as well. He has the same version of the game as I do.

Does this mod ONLY work on the DELUX edition?

Thank You.

This mod works on any versions of the game. I have yet to see a deluxe only mod.

As for the crash to desktop, search for crash to desktop. Theres a million thread about it already.

All the threads I could find were resolved by some stupid thing, like the person didn't install the mod right, isn't trying to run it right, or something like that. For me, it seems everything is set up right, it just won't run.

Also, a lot of the relevant threads do not explain the resolution or what steps were taken to resolve the issue.
