Editing one fire truck

Alright, I'm pretty sure this is the right place to post this. I've got the LA mod installed with the 4x4 submod, and I was wondering if it were possible to change the skin of one of the engines, but not it's sister. What I mean is, have Engine 88 remain the same, but change the skin of Engine 88 LED. Is that possible? If so, how?

Also, I've tried and tried and cannot get zmodeler to open any v30 files. Do they have to be converted to something first before they can be opened?

Engine 88 and engine 88 led are different models so yes if you change one the other will not be affected.

I only have the one .dds file, named fire_engine2.dds, which changes both the standard and LED models. If I were to draw a box on the side of that file, it'd appear on both engines. I tried unpacking the fire_engine2LED.dds file, but it was already unpacked, and still cannot be opened when changed to a .dds file. I'm probably missing something here.

Simply create a second dds file based on the first, and name it fire_engine2led.dds and open the v3o for the led engine and replace fire_engine2 with fire_engine2led and replace fire_engine2.dds with fire_engine2led.dds.
