Grim_Wizard
When I open the games base model files (NOT FOR LA MOD!) They open, but 90+% of the time they're not fully loaded and anything displayed is mostly transpearent, but sometimes I can get it to work. Any help? Grim_Wizard
No, Xplorer, is it okay if I PM you about this?
Xplorer4x4
Your better off posting here. I know very little about zmodeler but I am trying to help none the less . Tian would be a good person to advice.
Grim_Wizard
This isn't model models, it's model skins. My bad.
Xplorer4x4
Well my initial thought was soemthing along the lines of gaps in the model, but if its the stock em4 models/skins, not sure. Post screens, and you might ask a mod to move this modding as its not a technical issue its a modding issue, so you might get more help there as not to many people visit the tech help forum on a regular basis. eggcarton
Are you talking about something like this?
Grim_Wizard
Yeah it looks like the alpha layer is missing when I open the editor, however I have opend them a few times before.
Grim_Wizard
Bump. I still need a fix. Anyone. The screen eggcaarton showed is what's going on.
MikeyPI
Simplest way... Copy Alpha layer to a new file, REMOVE the alpha from the file you intend to modify, then put it back when done, the alpha layer is being enabled visible when you don't want to or care to see it. I don't know your paint apps but mine the alpha must be enabled for me to see it, by default it is not visible.
Hoppah
That actually looks like its showing the alpha channel only. This texture has 4 channels. R, G, B and Alpha. Apparently its only show the Alpha channel now.
Grim_Wizard
I thought that too, but messing with RBG channels didn't fix it, however, opening it up with a dds converter did. I think that there's a screw up when you open the people with Paint.net only.

I think that there's a screw up when you open the people with Paint.net only. When you save it in Paint.Net play around with the file format options. There are some that don't work properly in-game but I think they are further towards the bottom of the list.
