LA Mod 4x4 w00ds Map v1 Submod Preview

There reskins of NNICOs Crown Vic he released. The light bars and push bumpers were chopped off Hoppahs models by me and applied to NNICOs CV by me. There are new models planned though and 2 of them should be about done. Helljumper said Quint 9 was nearly done last weekend and he said he would do one other model as well. The other model, Engine 51, well I have no idea whats going on with that right now as it's been "almost done" for some time now. Also need to get the lights updated to match the new models. Conroy has started on this and gotten one done already. Slowly but surely everything is coming together. ;)

Awesome. I really want to see the quint. What manufactuer/chassis is it from/by? :popcorn:

I still havent gotten around to working on a script to make it functional as a quint but as for your question Roster:

Quint 9 - 2009 Spartan Gladiator/Ferrara HD-77ft Quint - 1500gpm/400gal

This sharp new rig is well-equipped with an EMS compartment in the cab, a Res-Q-Tec combi-tool and a 10kw Hydraulic generator.

Its a Ferrara quint, I believe, with a Spartan Gladiator cab in case your wondering where each comes in at.

Hi to all... This lines goes to Xplorer.... I was playing today to desestress from work and i was thinking... Have u considered or thought to include on this map both LAPD parking lots (front one or old one and the back parking you have included on the actual submod). I was thinnking this to give the game a more realistic taste; as we always see on Police stations a full parking lot. The other thing is to, i dont know talk or get on arrange with (i think is SG Submod) to include the descend on rope from the chopper; and give it too a better taste to make the units became a real snipper mode on top of the buldings.

I dont know... i was guessing... I think this was a "inspiration" day... :smoke::idee::blah:

There is no front parking lot on this map. Only a rear lot and a side lot. Both are in use. The repel command is stock in the LA Mod and has nothing to do with the SG submod. As for the roof thing, thats far beyond what I can do.

First, I want to thank Conroy for the banner and navymailman for his super high resolution images which served as a source for the units on the banner. Send them to conroy and the guy worked his magic blurring out the backgrounds, and who knows what else. Its kick ass none the less! If you like you can add the banner to your sig:

Now moving on, I finally nailed down the basis for the stations since I wanted to use real life stations. I wont get in to the details but I think you will like them. I will mention that the BLS RA was removed from FS2. It was pointless, the few calls in the game that would likley only require a BLS RA, never did. Like food poising..I can have a BLS RA on scene of a food poisoning in seconds, and still need an ALS Resource. There will be a Paramedic Assessment Lightforce in FS2 and an ALS Ambulance there as well. ;)

Ok, thats why i am asking you if you could add it too... So it could be available the 3 parking at the same time. On the thing with the rapel command, i have only saw it on that submod.:nixweiss:

No I wont be adding a front parking lot. For one it would be to much work as I would have to alter the script to reference two turnto VOs rather then one. Not sure thats even possible. Even if it is wouldnt be worth the time, besides that it is completely unrealistic, not realistic which is why I changed it in the first place. It was totally unrealistic to see a criminal just walk right in the front door.

If you look at the army helcopter, the repel command is on that in every mod :happy:

Are we still talking about this submod or...? Hehe :D

Anyway, Good work Xplorer, I am looking forward to playing on this. I always liked the map, but the paths were a bit screwed up. It will be good to play on once you've done your shizz. If you want the installer, let me know.

Well I have had this in beta for quite some time and had no major complaints in regards to paths, although I haved edited the paths in quite a few places. The only area I know of still causing any problems is just north of the police station. I thought it may be the level of the terrain, so I tried to flatten that, and still having trouble so I may have to do some texture work on that.

How goes the mod? Still working / testing around in the beta?

Not so much testing, just waiting on lights and models. Quint 9 may not be included in the initial release as I havent gotten an update in about 2 weeks or so. There were some other models planned but my modeler, Kookas, has had to stop for the time being due to real life. Also in the process of renaming the prototypes and engine file names to there respective number to make it easier to keep track of for modding, both for myself and others. ;)

will a officer escort criminals into the police station or will they walk by themselves like in the plain LA mod

This is something I may look in to in the future.

Are you going to rename the fire stations to their respective numbers?

Stations themselves, Im not so sure.

Probably not, seeing as they're not going to be 100% accurate.

Dont you have anything better to say then its not real? I could be wrong but it seems your the only one who really cares. ;)
