Grim_Wizard
I'm playing X-Com Ufo enemy unknown with a fix (I know this isn't the problem) and in order for the colors to be right I have to exit out of windows explorer (Ctrl+Alt+Delete, processes, explorer - end process) That too is not the problem. So after advanced game play it crashes more and more often, but when I start a new game it does not crash. Any suggestions?(Btw there is no log file that I know of)
Fuzzyface
I'd buy another crappy computer with Vista (or whatever you were running) on and run it on there instead. For the life of me I wouldn't go through everything you do just to run a game I know is going to crash. Grim_Wizard
You have no idea how much I love X-Com.I'll prbly. get a new old computer with windows 95, or just finish my computer I've been building since I was 14.

hunter42
Compatibility=Does nothing. Besides I have to shut down windows in order to play the game.Did you try 95/98? That's what X-com games were designed for originally I believe. And from what I've gathered, you're not shutting down Windows, just explorer.exeWhat fix are you using?Try:WIn. 95/98 (if you havn't already)http://www.dosbox.com/ - Emulates DOS and been recommended to Vista users who want to run X-comTurn off DirectDraw Acceleration/3D acceleration.Buy a digital version
