Guest dionissimus
Hello all : )I am trying to figure out the map size. The editor documentation states it is 12.5 pixels per meter. But, on the released road textures the median (the line that separates rows of traffic) width is 4 pixels (which would be 30 cm). Same in-game, I can see 4 pixels-wide medians. So I am wondering if the "real" scale of the game engine (relative to car sizes, let's take that as a scale anchor) is more like 36 pixels per meter, and we end up with a 200x200 rather than 600x600m largest possible map? MikeyPI
People make the best scaling device, since people are not created by a modder, the vehicles you can adjust accordingly, mine tend to be larger than most of the other mods because I wanted a closer to the scale of the people feeling. In the end most of the things IF you're willing to do the work can be adjusted accordingly but people we are pretty much stuck with at the set scale. Guest dionissimus
Thanks for the heads-up : ) So, people it is, then. I agree the default vehicles are smallish, compared to people. And it is rather odd they do not allow people to be modified. A quick test shows that people are about 7cm a pixel (pixels from the terrain, a casualty on the ground is 24 pixels long). That means that a 8192 pixel map will be almost precisely 600m on the side. So is IS (almost) as advertised. Guess the medians are just too wide in the default textures. Guest dionissimus
Although... wait a minute. The people CAN be modified, it's just a lot of work (there are quite a few base models for people). Right?
