EM 4 - LA Mod

Hi everybody, my name's Francesco and i'm italian!

I bought "Emergency 4 - Edizione Oro" (Edizione oro= Gold edition) and i think that's the same as american "Deluxe Edition" (it has 3 bouns mission).

Later i've downloaded "LA MOD" and i tried to install it ... unluckily i can't play it! I cant find the installed component with the "Mod Installing Tool".

Someone can help me ? Someone knows the solution?

It isn't in the box game ...

Download the mod, and unzip it.(right click on it. extract here(or somewhere else;-))

Then you can find the .exe that will install the mod into your game.

There is no mission editor as far as i know.

you would need to change the scripts C++(if not misstaken) to edit the missions.

You do have a game editor(for models + maps + personel and so on)

You can find that in the start menu under 16tons entertainment.

Or in the game instal folder.

em4 editor.exe(or something in that direction)

I also tried installing the patch 2.0.1 but noting happen ...

The patch doesn't appear in the Extra section ...

So you unzipped it.

Used the .exe to install the game.

Waited untill installer was done.

Start em4(with the default or LA mod shortcut on the desktop)

wait untill in main menu, click modifications, select the L.A. mod(wait untill loaded can take a while(pc looks like it's frozen). Start a new freeplay mission.

The patch only works if you have installed it correct on your emergency 4.

If it does not work, do you get an error? or is it cause it did not do anything at all?

if you did get an error, can you tell me the error?

If it does nothing at all, are you sure you have full administrator rights on your pc to install .exe files

(you can try right clicking on the file and select: "run as administrator"

The problem's very easy ... i cant install the file with the Mod Installer of the game ...

So also when i start the game there isn't the LA mod in the "extra" section ...

The tool can't find the file...

Okey

read my message again;-)

You don't use the mod installer.

U use the .exe that comes out of the .zip file;-)

run the .exe and it will install the la mod for you(with several options)

after that you can install the patch(use the patch.exe file)

Then you can start the mod

(i mean no offence)

Finally I solved the problem

In the iutalian version on EM4 (and also i think) the game isn't in the folder Sixteens Toons but:

Program Files>EM4> ...

The mod wasn't able finding the patch ... so i put it in the sub folder of EM4 ... so it was discovered

BUt at the beginning it was in a sbufolder of EM4 ... -.-"
