I thought it might be due to the light blue logo on the truck
-
Yes, but I've never seen a picture

Is that the U.N. Fire Department? The headquarters in New York City, New York

I have played 40k, I'm still into it but in between armies...I'm a little short on cash for an IG army (I used to do Blood Angels). I also have a necron BFG fleet.

Theoretically fog units still do exits. Vehicles like the Hungarian "big wind" and the Turbo-Löschers in Germany work on roughly the same principal. The problem is whether the amount of water used and energy expended is really worth it. In America, it's been pretty well decided that it isn't worth it. I do believe that there are still some units similar still kicking around, though. Also thanks to modern technology, any unit can provide a fog setting based on attachments and setting. Back in the earlier era nozzles and pumps were not as advanced, you needed more specialized equipment to achieve the effect you can get now from a standard engine. One more thing, fog units were one of many fads that occurred as American firefighting developed. You can see a string of units with unique and new ways of putting out fires present over this time. The earliest I can think of are chemical cars and engines. Even today, some places have hi-ex foam units which are really only rarely of much use.

I think it's a legit truck. It tends to be broken down most of the time. I've gone to Disney World Twice and both times, it has been broken. On a side note, both parks have full fire departments, I believe Disney World has at least two stations (I've been to one of them), Disney Land has one. **I take it back Disney World has four departments, known as the Reedy Creek Fire Protection District.**

I would assume that since they are functional ships, they simply lower them and send them on to another sport, or send them to scrap.

Well I guess it would depend by place. Normally in these parts you'd have one our two paid drivers and paramedic on at all times (usually). Then you have a couple of guys who tend to work for the township as maintenance workers, so they are always on call and fairly close by. So around here full staffing is two or three drives another two or three guys close by, and at least one maybe even two paramedics also in station.

Sounds like an OD or a suicide attempt, that's about how most places I know handle them. In terms of his attitude, not that it is necessarily an OD,etc., but speaking from experience, people can act real weird about stuff like that. They can swing back and forth like a pendulum, especially with any alcohol or narcotics in their system.

Well you did get it right, the bomb squad unit is over 101 years old..I'd have to read the book again to double check the exact age.
-
Ok, What U.S. police department has the oldest bomb squad in the nation?
-
It's the St.Louis Fire Department,

But it's so easy... The fire safety aspect, The technical aspect, The random aspect, It fits us to a tee -
Sounds good, Thanks Hoppah

Well' it's definitely an industrial rig most likely for a refinery possible a marathon rig but I've never seen their apparatus only a station in Detroit... Anyways, I have a big project to type tonight, once I'm done I'll search for specifics. Scratch that it's from the Shell Pudget Sound Refinery in Washington State. I can just barely make it out on the boom. That thing is a beast, do you have the specs on it?

Ok, because I have two different airplanes right now, a chopper and a plane. One has like a 1 minute timer the plane has a three minute. It works fine, just every time I send out the chopper, the airplanes timer resets. So I pose a new question, Would it be possible to alter the extinguishing value for one of them with out affecting the other? Also kind of on topic, anybody know where in the game scripts the sound trigger for the airplane is at?
-
Like a secondary firefighting plane. If you have two then the timer on both are connected but if you cold clone it into a new category like LF2 or something else, then it would unlink their timers and let you change the extinguishing power for one but not the other.

I've wandered this for a while. In mods, people have managed to develop new equipment types and make them usable in the game. So, my question is: Is it possible to create a new vehicle type? -I figure it's possible, but would require altering some of the game and editor codes.

I'll abstain from this one

I have the misfortune to bring this breaking story to you all, http://kdka.com/local/officers.shot.Stanton.2.975820.html Three officers were killed by a suspect when responding to a domestic dispute call. A fourth is wounded, and the suspect is barricaded in his house now, talking to investigators. My condolences to the families of the officers.

Halogen lamps pose a fire hazard.......(over exaggerated fire safety lecture)......I conclude we must either place a fire suppression system in the building in question, or use another safe lighting source. -
I thought Rosenbauer didn't make their own cabs, they instead used Spartan and HME cabs.

I'm satisfied with the paranoids answer, since technically all BP fire stations are owned by the company, plus I doubt anyone could get the specific plant they're at.
