Closing the borders isn't really a good answer, monitoring them more closely is a good idea, but here's my point. Person A: Born: Lockport, NY Gender/Race: male, caucasian Job: Sales Age: 32 Service: U.S. Army 1988- 1992 Status: Natural Born Person B: Born: Karachi, Pakistan Gender/Race: Male, Middle East descent Job: Restaurant Owner Age: 30 Service: 4 years Pakistani Army Status: Visa (expired) Which one is the Terrorist?

I think what Ami was talking about was, that CNN aired footage as "Live" that was at one point almost four hours or so old. If he's saying it was faked...they did a hell of a good job, since I saw my uncle there in the video footage. No as for terrorism and such, here's something that bugs the crap out of me as an intelligence major focusing on National Security. - Al-Queda, Hamas and other groups are a threat but the primary threat is domestic. It has always been domestic and will always be domestic, and if we stay too focused abroad we're gonna set ourselves up for another Oklahoma City.

Regardless of what the reasons for a war are, you cannot simply stop. Ethically and morally it is wrong, and history shows us that it doesn't go well when you do. Side Note: The most valuable part of a higher education experience is ethics, when you have it learn as much as you can. In terms of the Revolutionary War and 1812, to a decent degree we got lucky (especially 1812). The military might that was British Empire at the time had much bigger fish to fry (especially 1812). The revolutionary war was no more than an morale attrition war, in many ways similar to Vietnam, the local rebels had the advantage of home field, and they won through demoralization via unconventional tactics and international support. With out France we would have been SOL, Austria and Baron Von Stueben, yes they helped in my opinion, they hurt more than helped. Training the militia and turning them into a traditional European field army was a big mistake to some degree.

Medical mistakes takes happen everywhere, I've seen some dooseys. I have a friend who went in for an autoimmune reaction and now lives in a wheelchair. Personally I love America...It's got issues but I still love it. As for perfect race? There is no perfect race, plus we aren't all one race so how could we be one race?

Hoppah you are the master.

Honestly I was shocked when i saw Emergency 2 on shelves. There were five years between Em1 and Em2. Personally I think EM2 was horrible and probably the end, them out came 3 and 4. Point is I think they feel loyalty to the franchise to some degree, it may not be top priority but they wouldn't abandon it.

@Ami: The U.S. gets bad but it ain't the worst. Also a point that bugs me... We live in a Republic, yes we call it a Representative Democracy, but it's a Republic.

And why would people not being American prevent you from talking? We're all part of our own little community here so please enlighten us? What are the chances he really is their PIO, since he identifies himself as Mike not Tim, who is the PIO?

I'll try to find pictures of them. They have a photostream on Flickr LASD ESD Looks like they wear green jump suits and variations on that, officially their dress uniform is like and LASD patrol officer, but they wear all OD since they're part of the SED and wear the subdued patch

What we've hit here is the great debate in firefighting: Where should the line be drawn for defensive and offensive tactics? In general Europe has taken a more defensive stance in firefighting, with an emphasis on defense, but along with that a much larger emphasis on prevention. In the U.S. there has always been a more offense based mindset. Both systems have advantages and disadvantages. Right now in the U.S. we're going to see a change in the next several years to more defensive tactics because of LODD's. Simply put many people have been in bad situations they shouldn't have been in, but over aggressive tactics put them there. In terms of property saving, it is a big deal. Everywhere life comes first over property. However firefighting grew up with and developed fire insurance (which is how early departments funded themselves). So historically in the U.S. there has always been a big focus on property saving too, which has led to the offensive mindset. In the early days one of the firefighter's main jobs was to rescue property from the burning house. That was the job of the majority of the crew on scene. As the trade evolved, more men focused on the fire itself. Later, around the turn of the century, Insurance companies began funding fire patrols in most major cities. They would run in tandem with the fire departments with the sole job of protecting property. Mostly they worked in office buildings. Below the fire they would gather together objects and place them under tarps. They would also funnel water out of the building to prevent water damage. Fire patrols faded out fairly fast with the exception of New York City's which ran the whole way through 2006. However, many departments still try to tarp objects and minimize property losses whenever possible. So there's your history lesson for the day.

I actually have a reskin of the black hawk as an LACoFD fire hawk, only thing it's missing is the color on the animated rotor blades. I've planned to a release another submod at an earlier point which had extra miscellaneous Los Angeles area units. It keeps getting set aside for real life though...

Then I guess you're up?

Something must have been placed wrong, most likely one of the lines in an xml file. I've uploaded these files to the first post. If they don't work just let me know.

You're right that wouldn't be the issue, I had a brain fart. It is most likely some sort of directory error in the mod files, or the something was pasted wrong. @ Protec: Can you post a screen of the problem? It will make it easier for us to help you.
