I was just speaking from what I've seen proof of in photos. Which I admit its only about twenty or thirty photos total, since most people don't tend to post pictures of such things. Bottom line is either color is feasible, I would hope they don't have someone in a requisition office somewhere who is fretting about the color of them. So, it probably varies depending on order etc.

Overall any scene I've found that involves LAPD, LAFD, LASD, LACoFD without CHP or another agency has white. Yellow would be easier to see though
-
Here's some L.A. area photo's: Newport Beach - Newport PD LA fatal bus accident- LAFD/LAPD Encino area- LAPD LA Freeway- CHP/LAFD Not sure where- LACoFD/LASD Look's like white should be good, it seems LA city and county use white, but CHP uses yellow.

You're making me jealous Xplorer, All I want to do now is lock myself in my room, and start adding my personal touches to the mod again. It looks really good

Bits rate won't matter for this stuff. Unless you're an audiophile you likely wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Here are some standard settings: Bit Rate :128-160 kbits/s Bit Depth: 16, you can set it up to 24 if you want, the quality will be a little higher Sample Rate: 44.1 kHz/s 16 bit /44,100 hertz is the quality of a standard CD If you still need help just let me know

La Grange, by ZZ Top if i remember correctly...It's off the Tres Hombres album

I came across this while taking a break from studying. It's a promotional video from the company, where they walk you through the LASD BEAR armored vehicle and it's features. I figured people might be interested in it. Video Link

I just wanna stop and sleep, but I have to study for an oral exam tomorrow. I have to be prepared to answer questions for 30 minutes on 9 classes worth of material and 3,000 plus pages of out of class reading, plus information about my country study country.

I'd love to see it, but creating a fire line command would be impractical and almost impossible. Plus, Hoppah isn't taking suggestions yet, his first priority is bug fixing.
-
The LAFD had two hummer brush patrol vehicles, they were taken out of service a while ago. 109 is in the fire museum and I believe the other one crashed, If you want more info check mikes thread he talked about them at some point. LA Mod for EM4 never had the hummer fire truck, it just had a different style brush truck, that was a little more east coast.

To Quote Brian humphrey: "LAFD Firefighter/Divers are assigned full-time to three of our five fireboats. There are a total of eight divers on-duty at all times at the Los Angeles Fire Department. There are two assigned to each of the three small fireboats (Boats 1,3,5) mentioned above, and one backup diver each at the Fire Stations that house the larger fireboats (Boats 2 and 4). " My assumption is LAFD divers are very busy, plus LAPD divers undergo special port security training etc., Also I assume from this that UDU is probably the unit called to emergency dive situations off major waterways. *According to an article I just read, LAFD divers are brought to scenes off via helicopter for off the coast/harbor water rescues, stills seems to me UDU could prove faster, and have more equipment.*

Ohio it's Red for volunteers Pennsylvania at least used to be blue for any firefighters, but are Red for officers I prefer roto-rays, a nice classic.

Class work is killing me... I still haven't had a chance to play the LA Mod yet
-
I use a BCT8, it's analog and really a good system. I paid like $170 for it.
-
yes, it's in several mods. Look at hamburg, and winterberg for specific scripts etc.

Russia wasn't communist, no country has been truly communist. He sides with the ideals of communism not the regimes that have claimed it.
-
The number they use is a high, I trust the one that Jane's uses. It also doesn't account for the shape of equipment, etc. ( The black sea fleet is literally rusting away)
-
Well you'll just have to wait till after 2011 elections to find out for sure, unless something drastic happens. You could still end up with the Gripen's though.
-
It's old though... The last year listed is 2001 According to thishttp://www.ssb.no/handelsfl_en/tab-2009-08-11-01-en.html The fleet is only 1,347 so it's actually lower than the CIA listed. But there's also additional 1.227 ships not registered as part of the fleet.
-
That about matches up with CIA statistic fairly close: 1591 ships total given 8 years or so and accounting for the decrease in international shipping. Another source I have says in 2002 that it in 2002 The fleet registered in Norway had gone down to 693 ships, 441 of which owned by Norwegians. CIA just breaks it all down in a different way that's a little more deceptive of the actual total.
-
@joachimnor Don't forget CIA breaks down the fleet 668 are registered in Norway, 923 are registered in foreign countries Whoever runs that site was too inept to read the whole page...Not that the CIA World Fact book is all that accurate. The Netherlands doesn't have a country study in the Library of Congress, which is why it isn't on the list or their site...It's also why many other countries aren't on their site, because they don't have a study or are too old (1990's). It looks like these were the only countries they had the relevant data on. Noting that there is at least one exception (Georgia). Also for those curious the site was founded in 2005 by a person from Vancouver, WA Also really interesting is looking at how the rankings have changed using archive.org
-
That's more my point, they're making their "analysis" based in inaccurate data. Also they don't explain their method of evaluation. Bottom line from my standpoint: -No stated methods -Poor data (also not the most timely) That makes it bad intelligence "analysis" But it is still fun to debate. Russia I just find to be in a really poor position...They spend money like it grows on trees, but their military is a shell of what it once was both in size and tech. I think people tend to focus too much on their former glory (which is questionable as well) than the current reality. Japan is an interesting case, my big issue is that they're largely untested, and their focus in procurement and expansion of forces has been on missile defense, not full scale war. I just wish I knew their exact analysis method.

That website is full of @#$%, They don't show their formula, or truly explain their method of calculation. Also their info is off, and I mean badly off. Outside of that, I'm shocked at several of the results: Russia (Way too high), Israel (really beneath Brazil), North Korea (Low, but not too low), Iran (too low), Ukraine (low), France (Too high, not too high though), Japan (too high), Argentina (where is it?), Turkey ( a little high), and South Korea (too high)

Complaint: According to the CIA there are roughly 28,000 internet hosts and 360,000 plus internet users in Georgia...yet I can only find like 30 or so websites from Georgia most of which don't provide me with any info worth the time I spent searching for them.

The problem is some firefighters/departments push too far and risk life when they really shouldn't. I'm all for saving as much property as possible, but is the building's write off when you arrive on scene, you shouldn't be going in (provided everyone is out). Personal safety is just often overlooked at the expense of lives.
