  1. I'm a bit lost and not sure I have your most current update. When did the last one come out?
  2. I would love to see different engines in the list to be called from off map. You gotta admit that it looks a bit odd when there are for example 2 engine 10's at the same incident. Just think it'd be nice to have the ability to call engines that aren't based at one of the fire stations on map. Just a thought....
  3. @the Mod Team: first of all, the mod is absolutely amazing and visually stunning. Big ole Texas sized kudos to you guys. And now, a minor question, which is if you guys are working on new voices for the mod? It's just really off hearing the old voicetrack from the original EM4. However, if you don't change the voices, listening to them is an extremely infinitesimal price to pay for the privilege of having such an awesome mod to play. Thank you so very much for all your hard work and creativity. Oh, and one more thing, I happen to like the fact that this mod is a bit more difficult than the LA Mod. I think it really lets everyone know that this is NOT just New York set in LA and is a totally different animal.
  4. This is looking absolutely amazing, Dyson. Remember me when it comes time for beta testers.
  5. Ugly or not, the Dodge chassis with the Cummins engine is one of the most reliable vehicles on the market. I think most folks could care less what the rig that saves their life looks like anyway.
  6. Quick question....will this submod work with the 4x4 submod?
  7. I have all 4 of the Emergency games, they just keep getting better but they're all fun.
  8. To clarify just a bit on the TAC channels, they are usually line-of-sight short range channels used on the fire grounds. For example, say they is a structure fire and a woods fire that tone out at roughly the same time. The OIC of the first unit that arrives at their scene usually says something like "Engine 1 on scene, Capt. 1 establishing Brown Rd. command. Switching to TAC 1." At this point, everyone with a radio switches to TAC 1 and the engineer of the 1st in truck monitors the main dispatch frequency on the truck radio. The crew on the other scene then uses TAC 2 for their fireground ops. This keeps the dispatch channel clear for subsequent calls and calls for additional units. There again, this was the protocol for my department and varies by agency. As a general rule, TAC channels are not capable of using repeaters.
  9. This is my little friend. Cricket gets a bad rap, but I have had no problems.
  10. My point exactly. I know the purpose of the lights on a vehicle as I was a fire apparatus engineer for nearly 6 years, but I also know when it's being over done.
  11. While I understand that emergency lighting is very important, so departments just go way overboard with it. One of our local departments utilizes all the deck and dash lights you would see on a slick top unit, plus front and rear stealth strobes, wig wag's, outside rearview mirror strobes and they top in all off with a decked out V-Bar on the roof. The bad part is that department policy says they keep everything lit up on a traffic stop. All those lights just sitting there create a major traffic hazard in my eyes, but what do I know.
  12. I have had this happen before too when using the rapid deploy command. If you hit the rapid deploy button again even if the guys are already on the truck, it fixed the problem for me
  13. Hoppah, you have once again outdone yourself. Thank you so very much for all your hard work and dedication to making a good game freakin' excellent.
  14. I just noticed in 1.9 that the writing is backward on one side of the fireboat. I don't have a pic, sorry. I'm referring to where it says Los Angeles Fire Department on the side of the boat.
