  1. You're only going to have one emergency at a time in this mod and the next one won't start until everything with the current emergency is finished up, so you'll have more time for role playing. What I'm wondering is how the EMS and PD calls will be extended, obviously the fire calls you'll have to vent the building, choose the hose lines, etc., but I can't think of anything for PD or EMS.
  2. I didn't think about that, it probably doesn't cause if you notice, the Q siren just cuts out in the LA mod.
  3. I imagine we can, all they have to do is take their existing scripts and put the Q sound in.
  4. Your right, sorry, I never noticed that on the real rigs before.
  5. I'll go since we're clearly past the 24 hour deadline. Agency, County, and State please.
  6. nope, FDNY doesn't use trash lines or pre-connects, so they're not in the mod.
  7. I don't think the high-rise packs is replacing the hose from the original games. The high-rise packs will be for hooking in to sprinklers and standpipes at high rise fires, and the lines on the back of the engine will be the attack and supply lines, it will be completely different from the original game.
  8. how is it difficult? Just save the pic to your computer, and then when you're up, go down to the bottom of the post and click browse, find the picture in your computer, and then click attach this file. As long as you rename it, you should be fine.
  9. Yes, and they will be running their own calls to the point where they might not be available for some of your calls.
  10. It would make the game alot more interesting and challenging if you guys saved the pictures to your computers and then put them in the post as an attachment, that way people can't look at the url, but make sure you rename the picture.
  11. There will be one map to start with, which will be the area around 100 Duane Street, but as time goes on, they will create more maps that will change as you play through the mod. So if you are playing a china town map, the dragonfighters will be on it, if you're playing a World Trade Center area map, the ten house will be on it, and so on.
  12. I don't think so, look at the model they're making, it looks like a modern truck.
  13. It depends on where you are, my county uses it as non-emergency. i.e. "Attention ABC ambulance, alpha response for a lift assist, 123 smith street for a 55 year old male who fell out of his wheel chair."
  14. I'll go. State, County, and Department please. On a side note, I would almost join this department just to drive this car.
  15. I don't know about driving off one map and onto another, but making a larger map than the normal freeplay map is possible. I believe FFW Tut and the rest of the team figured it out because that was there plan before they switched over to the idea of the maps changing while your playing. I'm not sure how far they got with it before they switched ideas, but they're modding geniuses, so I would guess they got pretty far.
  16. I don't think he was necessarily judging the mod itself, he was just saying that you can't assume that since something taking so long to create and it has so much hype, it's going to be amazing, like the examples he gave. I personally believe that this mod is going to be very good, and will be up in the same category with the LA mod and Winterberg.
  17. I would guess that you won't be able to control the ladder because there are too many variables (power lines, trees), and also, there are animations that are based off how the ladder is placed, like the firefighters climbing up and onto the building, you wouldn't want your FFs to be climbing up the ladder and then disappear and reappear somewhere else, like the motorcycle cop used to in the LA mod.
  18. I meant the song, did some random person just create it or did some artist actually compose this?
  19. it will be an endless game based off of mission scripts, but you will only have one call at a time because you have to do much more for each call in this mod.
  20. Where did this come from (the song, not the actual video)? I especially like the parts to the tune of "I love you" from Barney, and where the fireman shows up at the beach to take care of your sunburn. Although I guess it depends on who got sunburned, if it's a hot girl in a bikini, then maybe, but other than that no.
  21. But they aren't going to be included in the, so we can end this discussion.
  22. They have said they aren't including helicopters.
