  1. most emergency agencies in NYC are not using LED style lighting yet. The only place where you'll really seem them is in the NYPD unmarked units, and the newer FDNY Engines and Ladder (from upto 5 years ago about.), and the new Rescue 1. Big news from the FDNY though, they are now ordering eninges with I belive it's a 6 inch raised roof, though I'll have to check. the height.
  2. My info on the brush patrols came from the May - June 2008 issue of the Fire Apperatus Journal, from the Metro Los Angeles article written by Derek Cutler. They do keep up to date with fleet upgrade (with all the tec specs on the new units) from all around the country and they all ways have an article on the new Rigs from L.A.. I know it's avaliable internationally, so Hoppah you may want to take a look at it. If you can't find it, I'll try and upload the L.A. articles for you if you want.
  3. Hi everyone, I just got home fro the hospital where I have been since tuesday getting my face stiched up and my jawed wired so the fracture in the jaw can heal, after getting kicked in the face by a horse, and I'm still a little out of it from it from all the drugs they gave me. So could someone please tell me which pic where guessing on
  4. Okay, I have three suggestions a) when Hoppah has time, it would be nice to see the LAPD helicopter re-skined in the new black and white color scheme that the LAPD is now using. b) according to the may-june issue 4 Colet Jaguar crahs rigs have been ordered for service at both LA international Airport and Ontario International Airport, and one has been delivered to Ontario. It'd be a cool looking rig to replace the current crash truck if Hoppah wishes. c) is there anyway to add the ability to carry patients to the LAFD brush patrols assinged to Patrol 47 and 109 have this ability.
  5. well you're right, but that's not what I found it as, so don't worry about what I wanted. Your Turn
  6. I forgot I had these. I know they suck, but that's because I took them with a cellphone on a bus. There from last summers steam pipe explosion in Manahatten. The Rescue in FDNY Collapse 4 and the car is an unmarked NYPD unit.
  7. I want the city, state, department, and unit that this charger belongs too. and their is a big hint in the picture that'll give away all of these.
  8. Folsom, California Police Department scratch The unit is from the Los Angeles California Unified School District Police knew I'd seen it somewhere.
  9. allright, I just sent you 34 pages of pics, so that should keep you busy for a while.
  10. The bluebirds are the old command units. The NYPD is now using a custom LDV body on a variety of Chassis along with the FDNY. @James, pics should be in your email, as soon as I find an easier way to send them rather than attach each pic individually.
  11. I'll try and put togeather a folder of pics for you. There are thousands of photos of the untis online and most of their departments (police and EMS) use very common vehicles in at least the U.S. if not the world, so finding blueprints shouldn't be very hard. EDIT: I have a bounch of Pics for you. pm me your email so I can send the,m to you. I'll also try and come up with a uselful lists of site for you, and create a word doc. of what each unit is used for.
  12. vans aren't really used in the U.S. fire department, besides for duties like fire police and other duties that don't really have much to do with actually fighting the fire.
  13. Mike, out of curiosity, how are the helemet sheilds in LA, and what information do they portray about their wearer?
  14. if I may offer a little helpful critsism, it may be able to add what the standered crew is on the Fire and EMS units, when the alarm is sounded.
  15. that would be the purpose of the EMS captains car that's already in-game in 1.6. question for Hoppah, are the FFEMTs replacing the firefighters?
  16. Hoppah, amazing work, I've been wanting somthing like this for a really long time. thank you, thank you, thank you.:1046275747_biggthumpup:
  17. it won't work in game for the same reason the tiller ladder won't work, it's a truck and a trailer. Also, I believe that is more desinged to be a an actual hospital, rather than to treat on secene and transport to a hospital, with the truck being set up as two operating rooms, and the supplies in the truck are set up to form a 200 bed hospital. Mike can correct me if this is wrong.
  18. we could have a whole thread on US girls gymnastics, the only it would have to be appropriate and clean. I think I'm gonna start one anyway.
  19. LAFD handels all calls within the city of Los Angeles, and since the mod is based on the city, not the county, it is realistic that LAFD handels everything.
  20. No offense Newfoundking, but that is deffinitly a matchbox truck after I saw it, I went digging through my old collection of matchbox trucks, and I found two identical trucks in different paint schemes for generic fire departments. edit: I have found a third matchbox truck and this one is identical to the one you posted except for the city markings.
  21. I'm going to say matchbox fire department since I've never seen a matchbox painted to look like it's from a specific city.
  22. the reason there are major differences in the cabs is because the e-ones from Poland appear to be 1990's models. A look at the modern day models from both pierce and e-one show that there are still differences but they are less. Although, in my opinion, both e-one and pierce are switch to cab models that look like crap. new pierce new e-one
  23. what I meant was is he working on it to use in his mod, or has he just completely decided it's a waste of his time and he's not going to use it.
