  1. probably not since, a) there is no reason for a spare in EM4, b) the FDNY doesn't keep each individual engine as a spare for it's former company. A few go to the spare pool, one or two get reassigned, and the rest get sold.
  2. This is one nice thing about doing an NY mod. None of the agencies really ever change the design of their trucks and just order them all the same, so you just have to do a few minor skin changes for each unit.
  3. All I get is a bunch of numbers and .jpg for the name, I don't know how you guys got Tampa out of that.
  4. I was on my way home from a class at my local training center/911 center, and after about a mile traffic backed up, as I approached the intersection, I noticed a car running in the middle of the lane, as I pulled around it, I noticed the driver was either asleep or passed out at the wheel, but I couldn't stop since I was in traffic. So i grabbed my portable which I almost always have in my car, and called out to the county dispatch, (OC911) "Orange 911 to unit calling go ahead", (Me) "911, I need a PD unit to the intersection of Hatfield Lane and 17A for a vehicle in the middle of the road, driver appears to be asleep.", (OC911)"Unit calling, negative copy", (Me) "I need a Goshen PD unit to the intersection of Hatfield Lane and 17A for a vehicle running in the middle of the road, drive appears to be asleep.), (OC911) "I copy Goshen PD to Hatfield Lane, 17A, what's the reason?", (Me) "There is a vehicle in the middle of the road, driver appears to be asleep.", (OC911) "Received, will do." After having that entire conversation with them, I went home and listened to the play back from the computer program I have for my scanner, and although there was a bit of static, I could understand what I was saying. That's just my rant against dispatchers, I feel that if I'm about a mile away calling on a repeater frequency, I shouldn't have to repeat my self 3 times.
  5. I would agree, do something like engine and ladder 10, engine 9 and ladder 6, ect, and then have both trucks facing front angled in, rather than one angled in and one out.
  6. all the loading screens look great, but I have one question, why are the k12 saws on the side of the truck? Is that where they're going to be in the game, because in real life they're stored in a compartment on the truck, rather than on the side with the ladders.
  7. To reiterate what they've said before, they're keeping almost everything a suprise, so instead of asking for thing, just wait and see cause it might already be in the mod.
  8. They've already posted pictures of it. Look at the first page.
  9. No because that's not how the FDNY does it.
  10. I'll give it to you rather than continue on like this, it's the Monroe Joint Fire District.
  11. No, you were closer before. To make it easier, the answer is on the site linked to below. http://ecscanning.com
  12. Their the same thing, I just need the right name.
  13. It was discussed, but after they figured out how to do it, they decided to put the time and energy into developing new features.
  14. The FDNY has 5 MERVs (Major Emergency Responce Vehicles) which are MCUs, just with different names.
  15. That actually brings up a question I have. Will we be able to go up on all the roofs, and if so, how will you do the enterable buildings, since the roof on it disappears when you have units in it.
  16. If you guys want, I can just post a new pic for you guys to guess.
  17. You might not be able to raise the ladder where the truck is parked though, so having manual controls wouldn't fix not positioning a truck correctly.
  18. It'd work, just it's not as nice as the Bravest.com. The Bravest.com has each individual frequency on it's own player, so it's more like a real radio. Both the feeds on radio reference are multiple frequencies combined into one player. Basically we'd need is some one who lives in or close to NYC with multiple computer compatible scanners/radios to put one frequency into each scanner and then put each feed as a separate stream to get as good a quality as the Bravest.com.
