Sorry, the content for part 2 is about 70% complete but it's release date has been postponed indefinitely. Occram~

The mod is looking great guys. I'll come back to EM4 when it's released. =) Why not just delete incessant and irrelevant posts? The senseless spam is annoying enough without all the moderators commenting. Occram~

Haha! Yes you did my friend... yes you did.

Who wants to see me put more lights on the Large Rescue Ambulance than the rig in this video?!? Hahahaha, that thing is such overkill. There is a part of me that loves it though. Occram~
-
No, this light mod is entirely my personal designs. Hahahaha, I completely agree.

Why not join your local fire company or see if you can get a tour?

Each flash of an individual light on the rear deck is a separate light source with it's own specific time to flash during the cycle to create the complex pattern piece by piece. I created a grid with time(x) and lights(y). In other words, it's very resource intensive and time consuming. Thank you so much for your kind words, it makes the hard work worth the time and effort. =) Occram~

I probably won't be releasing videos of part 2 prior to release. It'll probably just be a surprise release with little or no notice. =) Occram~

That's really great to know, I'm very happy you enjoy my work. =D Occram~

Sounds to me like you're referring to the rotators I released with my lighting mod. I believe I was the first to replicate rotators how you described, I could be wrong though. =) Occram~

I never use the 4-way blinky lights...

Hello everyone, I've gotten real life straightened out until September when I go back to school, so I'm going to be finishing up Part 2 and getting it ready for release. After all three parts have been released, I'm planning on re-releasing the mod but with all new radiation and a few minor changes, as Occram's Lighting Mod 2.0. I've been incognito for awhile on the forums but I assure you all I haven't gone anywhere and still plan on releasing Part 3 and eventually a 2.0 version of OLM. Also, I've added the download link on the first post again... Thanks for your patience! Occram~

Also, a vehicle can only be redirected once. After it's been redirected, it cannot be redirected again. I've run into this while running multiple incidents and having a clog from vehicles having already been redirected from the first at the second incident. Occram~

Greetings, To be honest, I haven't gotten much done in the way of Part 2 yet as I'm finishing up some more classes at the fire academy and starting EMT school right afterward. I'll get to it as soon as possible and release it when it's done. This part was separated due to the fact that lighting is quite complex for the Tiller and some others. Regarding the redirect issue on the CHP car, this would not be my issue as I have not altered any other attributes of the LA Mod other than lighting. If this issue does exist with my prototype, it exists in the original LA Mod as well. Occram~

Xplorer4x4, I'd like to see if I'd be allowed to re-light the LED CHP CV and maybe a few others if you'd like, and give you the file for your mod. Let me know if you'd be interested in seeing what I've got... Occram~

The ALS engine has radiation mapped on the side, rear and front strobes but I disabled it. It's easy enough to enable if you'd like to do that yourself, it looks rather good, just a little bright imo. Like I said before, it's just my personal preference that I don't like too many radiation sources because they tend to bleed together and really become too intense. I've managed to dim the radiation and keep it from bleeding while keeping color accuracy ( ) in my most recent version and plan on adding radiation to all of the vehicles in a later version. I won't be removing the blue on the BLS engine because as I said, it's modeled after my first due engine in my own firehouse. It's kind of a little personal easter egg of mine, sorry.

Hey SirMoo, I'm thinking about starting a new thread and releasing my vehicles one at a time. People seem to pick and choose which they like the most anyway. I think I'll take my time and make each vehicle perfect and release them individually. I haven't decided yet. Occram~

No offense, but your changes may not be improvements in my eyes. We all have different taste. For example, the light blue I use is because Whelen tends to use a more "baby blue" LED instead of a true blue. Occram~

Though that kind of setup does exist in the real world, I feel that in-game it gives the vehicles a strong 'overdone' look. Especially because the particle engine sometimes lets you see through the vehicles. Thanks! I watched some videos from LA and copied their lightbars for some of them. I can't remember which is accurate anymore though. =\ Also, is there any reason in particular why you haven't used as many vehicles as you thought you might? Was it a quality issue or just preference? That's precisely what I was going for. =D Thanks again, I'm surprised no one else has taken my approach to rotators before. In my opinion, it looks best and really is quite simple.

It depends on exactly what you mean by "compatible" in this sense. If your question is "Will these lights work with the models that Joseu made?". The short answer would be yes. If your question is "Will these lights align and look proper on Joseu's models?". The answer is no, not entirely. The lighting system in this game rarely has 'compatibility' issues with other modifications/versions, as far as file names and models aren't changed. When models are changed, so too must the lighting. Occram~

Hey Hoppah, I know this is off-topic and I apologize for that in advance. I just don't know any other threads you patrol regularly. Anyway, I wanted to know if a sticky was alright for my approved submod. Regards, Occram~

Occram's Lights Submod Part 1 is complete and ready for download. Please see the first post for more information... Occram~

Not in this submod. I'm juggling around an idea to create an ultra-realism version of my lighting submod. I modeled most of these light packages around east coast emergency vehicles. I may or may not be creating my realism submod for LA Mod, depending on how things work out. A steady burn is very easy to add or edit, I'd be happy to instruct you how to do so if you aren't already familiar.

Xplorer4x4, Thanks for the information. I'm at work at the moment, so I'll post Part 1 when I get home today. Occram~

Part 1 is ready for release. For more information, see original post. Can anyone recommend a good website for file sharing? Occram~
