Greeley County Modification (slowish WIP)
Rlizard replied to dbeehler's topic in Mod Development and Concepts
If you cant you can have say 4 FF/EMT spawn in and that's there shift crew (some Vol FD make you take shifts) then if you can put them in trucks they need to go into for a fire. example brush fire they can run 2 bush trucks. Structure fire they hop in the engine etc. Also if this is a VOL Fd give them like a 2500 (ford,Chevy, dodge) truck so they can use it as a support truck/command. (I cant name 1 Vol FD that doesn't have one of these) -

Thats way better in the realism aspect! I Assume chief 2 would be in station 2? PD, realistically should be in charge of patrol (Sheriff still could do bomb squad, SWAT/HRT, etc) -

That works 2 actual fire stations and 1 for wild-land. Where you going to change the units up a little then? I dont want you to think Im a dick I just like mods with some realism because it creates more of a challenge. Is the PD going to be from the city or sheriff's office? -

Solid list, I personally would cut the 2nd station and move chief 2 to station 3. Then make station 4 just wild-land stuff so 2 type 6s or 1 type 3 and make engine 4 just a wild-land tanker or mini-pumper. I would also make a rescue unit and probably put in at station 1. As a small dept (Which I assume this is) this is a lot of equipment for instance. A city near me has 87 square miles to protect and a population of 45,000. They only have 3 engines companies,1 rescue and 1 ladder! NOTE: This is purely my opinion and I enjoy mods with realistic units. So you can take my opinion how ever you want. Any idea on what Chief 1 going to drive? -

That depends, I know a few fire depts still driving late 1990s F-250s. A lot of smaller poor Fire dept don't spend money on there support vehicles and care more for engines and tankers so they can lower their ISO. -

Well im going to give a suggestion volunteer fire dept Chief (that jeep) engine/min-pumper (newer engine or mini pumper taken right out of mayberry) engine 1 (old engine for Mayberry) Brush 1 (Montana mod dodge) paid FD station 1 chief 1 (Mantana mod chief) Ladder 1 (if you want I believe ladder trucks in the game are useless but some people believe a FD can't be without one) engine 1 ( Mayberry enigne) rescue 1 (rescue from north-view?) als Station 2 chief 2 (chief 2 from Mayberry or chevy suburban) engine 2 (Mayberry engine) sqaud 2 (pickup or large SUV with 1-2 paramedics used for medic calls) ALS station 3 used for forest fires (possiblely county fire dept) brush 3 (Mayberry brush) brush 31 (Mayberry mod USFS type 3) tanker 3 (Mayberry tanker ) EMS country EMS supervisor1 (large SUV) has a supervisor and medic Medic 1: bls medic 2: bls This is purely based on a "larger" dept I believe you could cut this list in half and be fine. -

Yeah or you could have the fire dept stabilize with als squads or engines and have EMS just transport. If this is more of a rural area shouldn't there be some wild land apparatuses? this is a rather large dept for a small town. (Just an opinion) -

It sounds solid, I assume the the rescues will carry the extrication equipment. I would suggest just making the volunteer station it's own FD and the other on map stations as a paid dept of their own. You haven't listed any EMS so you could have the 4 stations and then 1-2 EMS stations making them either contracted EMS, city or county EMS services. -

Will the fire dept run the EMS or are you guys going with someone else? -
Greeley County Modification (slowish WIP)
Rlizard replied to dbeehler's topic in Mod Development and Concepts
Your not wrong! You really only have to figure out how you are going to set up the depts. example fire dept 1 likes big engines, so they have engine companies and big rescues along with ladders, and type 3 wild fire apparatuses. fire dept 2 likes smaller trucks so they have mini-pumpers and some engines, smaller F-550 resuce trucks and type 6 wildfire apparatuses. -

Interesting FD colors white and blue. What does S2 mean on the side window of the jeep station 2? -

I look forward to it! Oh and since your thinking I'm going to throw out using Tahoes as your PD unit unless you aready have one/one in mind. -

Rlizard replied to dbeehler's topic in Mod Development and Concepts
That came out wrong. The volunteer dept I work for still has an 1982 Mac still in service. What I was saying is that from what I have seen command vehicles get switched out every couple of years. but since it is the assistant chief truck I guess it makes sense the chief probably passed it down to him. Anyways I look forward to the updates. Do you have a list of units you plan on added yet? -

What time period is this mod suppose to be set in? Because that jeep is 15 years old at the minimum. overall the map looks nice you probably should have taken the pictures at the day time. -

Is there a specific reason no having PD station? It would suck to send a police back to base everytime with a criminal. -
You might want to decide what stations (if any) will be on map. 11 FF/EMS stations is a lot. On the PD side of things you could go 2 routes. 1. Just have a handful of base cars (think LA mod) with no unique numbering etc. 2. Have unique numbering on cars. Then you'd have to decide how many cars on map. Usually it's 4 (patrol cars) but if you wanted to make it more realistic add 6-10 depending on the map size. Good luck I look forward to the updates.

Was this going to stay a private mod? It it would be shame if it did, this mod looks great. -
Henderson/Frederick County Mod
Rlizard replied to Joseph McKeon's topic in Modification Sub-Mods WIP (In Development)
Have you considered adding a Nevada Highway patrol or Virginia State police? It would make sense since you are adding 4 different fire departments in the mod. The chain of law enforcement would make sense too municipal(city) > country (sheriff)> state Also this would be a great way (if you wanted) to include almost or all the different PPVs. Henderson could drive tahoes and caprices, sheriff could have explorers and Taurus's, finally the state police could have chargers and Durango's. Maybe throw some pickups in there too. Just an idea I look forward to seeing further updates. -
Do you have a list of all the units you have in the mod? Also do you plan on using realistic water script? good looking mod!
