Hi Andrew, How's it all going. If you need anything, I can provide info and pictures/uniforms etc on Ambulance Service of New South Wales and Ambulance Victoria (formerly Rural Ambulance Victoria and Metropolitan Ambulance Service). I also have contacts within NSW Police as well. I may be able to help with some basic skinning (I think), but my time is limited.

Hi Madman, Sorry for the lack of update. Currently, I am still running into a brick wall trying to get on top of the Battalion Chief script (but still working on it). My personal version of the game is running perfectly (with only limited testing so far) using the v1.7 scripting with Engine 1 and 3 + 201 and 203 at station 1 whilst Engine 2 at station 2. Unfortunately, using this script means that Fire Engines and Ambulances are not able to use the standby feature.

Hi Firefighter 18256 Fire Department 2 (otherwise known as Fire Captain) and Fire Department 3 are both Multiplayer games that may interest you. They were released by Monte Christo games, if I remember correctly.

Hi JoseOu, I am sorry if there is any confusion. Currently the sumod does not allow any other engines to park at the stations except Engine 1 (ALS) and Engine 201 (BLS). I have managed to alter the scripts to allow the following to happen; Engine 1 (ALS) Engine 3 (ALS) Engine 201 (BLS) and Engine 203 (BLS) are at Station 1, whilst Engine 2 (ALS) is at Station 2. Unfortunately, I am so far unable to get the Battalion Chief script sorted so that the engines or ALS Ambulances can be called correctly. So it has not been included at this time. I have also managed to adapt the v1.7 scripts to work including the Battalion Chief Script, but when using these scripts it is no longer possible for the standby feature to be used by fire and ambulance vehicles. So that is where things stand at the moment, I think I am missing something simple with the Battalion Chief script, so hopefully I might have a result with that soon, I hope. I will try to keep you posted.

Hi topfuzz, If you try a fresh install of Los Angeles mod v1.8 (I also installed the v1.8.1 patch), then follow the instructions given to PFAexplorer above, you should have no problems. Hi PFAexplorer, I have been working on the scripting for that, I have worked out the firestation scripts to staff the stations and for all the vehicles to return to the appropriate station/locaton. Unfortunately there are some issues with the Battalion Chief script that I have not been able to work out so far. This means that ALS ambulances and ALS fire engines cannot be called to the scene correctly. I have modified my version 1.7 scripts and they work correctly, but if I use these then all the fire/ambulance units lose the standby feature. So I am still working on it. Waiting on some files at this stage, but as far as I know it is not off the books - we have the ambulance but are experiencing problems with AMR personnel.

I have tried using the Freeplay map as a multiplayer map, complete with Fire/Police stations and Hospital, with reasonable success. All the Freeplay features work, however, there are a few limitations. Firstly, each vehicle has to be called onto the map then sent to the station - the only person who can control the vehicle is the person who called it onto the map. Second, the only person who can alarm the firestation is the host of the game. Third, sometimes players may lose control of the units in their vehicles who then default to the control of the host - it is then necessary to get the host to get units to enter the vehicle, then return the vehicle to station. All Battalion Chief/EMS Captain and police call units scripts function normally - the nearest available unit responds to request for back up then can only be controlled by the person who called it onto map originally, once it arrives. As Hoppah said, you do have to modify a number of scripts in order for it to work. I have a version of Los Angeles mod v1.7 with w00ds map in multiplay, deluxe map in multiplay and a version with the original Freeplay map as multiplay and they all function in the same manner. Tested with 2 and 3 players in multiplay.

Submod: New Freeplay map v1.2 Released!
ShaneGreen replied to w00d's topic in Submods [Not released]
Hi DMC, I have had the current version of w00ds map running on the Los Angeles Mod v1.8 with no problems so far. So give it a try -
Hi PFAexplorer, Once you have the file downloaded onto your desktop (compressed RAR file), you need winrar installed, if you do not have it it can be downloaded free online at http://www.winrar.pro/AU/ If you right mouse click on the downloaded file and select the option "extract files here" A file will appear on your desktop called "Additional Vehicles Submod for Los Angeles Mod v1.8" - Open this folder Inside you will find a folder called Los Angeles Mod v1.8 - right mouse click on this folder and select copy Now go to your hard drive and locate your installation of Emergency 4 / 911 First Responders (which ever version of the game you have) - it should be under C:\Programs Files\sixteen tons\ Emergency4 or something similar. Once you locate the Emergency 4 / 911 First Responder folder where your game is installed - double left click to open the folder You will now see two (2) folders; Data and Mods, plus a number of other files including the config file - double left click on the mods folder to open it Now you should see a folder for each mod that you have installed on the game - one (1) of these should be "Los Angeles Mod v1.8" Now right click on an empty space in the mods folder where you see the Los Angeles Mod v1.8 - select the paste option and this will begin to copy the files that you will need During the copy process, you will be asked what to do with some files - always allow it to over-write the existing files Now close the folders down and start the game - your good to go Hope this helps

Hi all, * NEW RELEASE * for Los Angeles Mod v1.8 I have also revised the firestation, firestationstart and tofirestation scripts to allow engine 1, 201 and 3, 203 to park at Firestation 1, while engine 2 parks at Firestation 2. These are not included at this time due to some problems with the Battalion Chief script. Hopefully, I will be able to add these additions in the near future. Take care : Shane

Hi Topfuzz, Actually, where I am from (not Los Angeles) the numbers are sequential and this helps to determine which station they are attached to. However if the general consensus is to have random numbers, then that can be arranged. The white (BLS) ambulance remains number 802 and the vintage ambulance van is still 104. Both are included in the game, as is LAX ambulance no 51. Take care Shane

Submod: New Freeplay Map Second Edition - update
ShaneGreen replied to w00d's topic in Submods [Not released]
Hi w00d Don't let 'time' get you down. Good things come to those who wait. So, take all the time you need. More importantly, take some of that time to have a break, relax and refresh. Take care Shane -
Hi all, Sorry I have been quiet for the last week or more, but I have been away from the technology of the internet. (How we miss it when it is not there!) A liitle update on the 1.8 version of the submod. I have completed all the units in the submod - the list is getting longer all the time. The current unit additions are shown below; - Police - Fire - Ambulance I have a few glitches that I need to work out of the Firestation scripts / Battalion Chief script, before all is ready but screenshots below will show the Firestation staffing if I manage to get it all working - I am about 90% done. (Remeber the 80/20 rule: 80% of the job takes 20% of the time, it's the final 20% that takes 80% of the time!) - Fire Station 1 staffing - Fire Station 2 staffing Take care Shane

Hi all, I think at this stage it might be best to go back to the crown vic EMS car. This will avoid the confusion and we can always change it later. I am not to keen at this stage to change the colour scheme to something that is not accurate, but am still open to suggestions. I will put both EMS 1 and EMS 2 in as crown vics, at this stage and we can go from there. Take care Shane
-
Depending on demand, I could release version with original crown vic ems seperately, otherwise I can talk you through which files to remove before copying the changes to your LA mod folder. Either way, it can be done. So far with the interest generated for the AMR Ambulance, it looks like it will be added as part of the complete package. Take care Shane

Hi all, I have just received the files for AMR Private Ambulance and personnel to add to the submod (thanks to billyfromhill) - AMR Ambulance skin kindly provided by MCERT1 with billyfromhill editing the personnel. Once again, with Hoppahs kind permission this can be added. Depending on the interest of forum members, this can be added to the v1.8 submod with all the other changes, or it can be released as a seperate file. What would you guys (and gals) prefer ? Hi zootoo63, You could only play online if the other members of the game have exactly the same files as you. So if you have a clean install of Los Angeles Mod v1.8 and add a specific submod (all players have to do the same), then you should not have any problems playing multiplayer online. Hi Madman, Perhaps I will release the submod with a fully staffed station then add a seperate file with a copy of the startfirestation script without the vehicles in the rear bays of Station 1. Take care Shane
-
Hi Madman, I have just this morning received Hoppahs kind permission to add scripting to do just that. I will be altering the Firstation script so that Fire Engine 1 and 201 are in front bay of Firestation 1, Fire Engine 2 will be located at Firestation 2 and Fire Engine 3 and 203 will be in the rear bays at Firestation 1. Engine 1,2 and 3 (ALS Engines) will respond if called by Battalion Chief, while Engine 201 and 203 (BLS Engines) will respond to a call for BLS Engine or as part of the light force with the Ladder. Hope to have ready for download in the next day or two (hopefully). Take care Shane

Hi all, HAPPY NEW YEAR ! and I hope you had a great christmas. Sorry I have been quiet for the last week, but I have been away with work. I have just downloaded v1.8 and have yet to have a thorough look at it. I only have 2 days then will be away "offline" for about 12 - 14 days. Hopefully during that time I will be able to arrange a package that is compatible with v1.8 and upload as soon as I can. I expect that I will probably make the update include the same changes that were seen in the Extended version release, but will see how I go. Have fun and enjoy Los Angeles Mod v1.8, alot of work has gone into this and I am sure you will all join me in congratulating the people responsible. Take care Shane
