Yea I tried that awhile ago. Didnt work for me. Step 4 wasn't an option for me. Guess I'll have to wait for the new map.

Hi Dyson and Raf, has a solution been found for the NVIDIA graphics card issue? Raf you responded that you would be looking into it. This was back in september, if something was posted my apologies. I havent been around for awhile.

I'm good until I get to step 4. I dont see what needs to be changed in step 4 on my control panel. I checked with NVIDIA and I have the most up to date driver etc... I wish I could show a picture of my display but I dont know how to insert picture on this forum

Same thing here. I can play the mod for about 2-3 minutes then it crashes to desktop. I also have a NVIDIA graphics card. It's killing me, this mod looks so good for the minute or two I could use it.

Sorry was there a patch that was later released? Maybe thats what I was getting confused. I wasn't trying to make a point, just looking for an answer to the question I asked in regards to Raf's post. I dont have an Intel, but is my NVIDIA not up to par?

I've had CTD on both versions, really havent gotten to play the mod at all. Checked mine, I have the NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430. What do you think?

I'm sorry to hear about this. I was really looking forward to playing this mod. It really looked great. Unfortunately I was one of the ones having difficulty getting it going. Looks like well all just have to wait for further updates to the NYC Mod. Going forward I really wish people could learn from the creators of the NYC Mod. Here's a mod that was released as more of a surprise, there was no anticipation, nagging for release dates, no preasure for release and all and all a solid mod without any critical bugs was released. And once it was released any information on future updates to the mod have been held close to the chest. As a result the NYC forum has been quite quiet and there has been very little nagging. I really think this is the smart way of doing things. Although its nice to see how a mod is coming along I think releasing such info only puts more stress on the modding team from the forum community. My thoughts are not meant to be a criticism of the Mannhattan Mod team but if they are taken as such please take them to be nothing more but constructive.

Dyson, can you tell me what you think in regards to minumum requirements? If my computer is not up to par for the mod I will need to upgrade it, if its fine I'll just wait for new patches.
-
Have minimum PC requirements been posted for this mod? I know someone else asked earlier but I did not see a response. The times I can actually get the mod to load it up it doesnt last more then two minutes before CTD. This is what my computer is running.... My OS: is Windows 7 Processor: AMD Athlon II X2 2.4Ghz Memory 599GB free of 683GB Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

Dyson, I'm one of the ones who cant even get the mod to load. I have the 911FR version, It appears I downloaded the mod sucessfully. I go to start 911FR, click on mods, And the Mannhattan Mod is listed, so I click the Mannhattan Mod to load and it takes forever. It never actually ends up loading. I hit CTRL,ALT,DEL and hit the task manager and everytime I do so it says the game is unresponsive or something to that effect. So I've yet to even try the mod.

Video looks great. One small question though? I must of heard "hey baby" at least 20 times, and I did not watch the video in its entirety as I kept skipping ahead. I'm assuming this is from the street background noise. Will there be a way for users to muffle that without loosing the rest of the street noise? I think its going to drive some people nuts to hear the same sentence repeatedly. The rest of the street noise is awesome and seems very authentic. Everything else looks great too. Anxious for when this comes out, keep up the great work!

Not sure if you have anything like this or not but it may be of some use. This link will take you to all the FDNYdispatch tones. http://nycfire.net/fdnytones If you dont see a player check the bottom of your screen. You will have to allow the use of windows media player.

I havent downloaded it yet. Going to wait for a bug free version. But wasn't this version going to come with an installer?

By the name of image file (engine 10) I'm going to assume that will be FDNY Engine 10. If so, I'm glad to see that not all the FDNY apparatus in the game is going to be modeled on the newest trucks out on the streets. Glad to see there will be an older seagrave with older lights etc. Gives more realistic reality.
