Good times (Y)

No-one is saying it's a bad idea as such, it's just very difficult to complete a FULL mod, scripts etc. You need a whole team, and 90% (don't quote me ) of the good modders are already in projects. If you have good ideas, and know how to complete them ideas to a working standard, you should ask the london mod if you can assist them, and incorporate your ideas to their mod. If they are possible, and they are worth going through the hassle of Beta testing etc etc then you will be successful in completing your goals. This isn't shooting you down, it's just their are lots of mods in progress, you'd be better off trying to help someone out or waiting until they are completed so you can ask them to assist you.
-
Then I suggest you click the link in my sig and ask to assist the London mod team (if they require it)
-
I'm assuming, as NTG did that you have no modding experience. If you did I would say you're better off requesting London mod team if you can assist them as opposed to starting another mod. [Edit: Removed link (thanks bennie)]

Apologies first off as I can't help. The ambulance to the left did make me chuckle somewhat, looks like a limo with a box
-
That's good (Can you guess I don't mod) I can't wait for you to get home either haha
-
Sounds good (Y) This might be a stupid question, but how exactly did you get the traffic on the left? Was it easy or do you just put skins on vehicles backwards? [Edit - To prevent double post] I noticed on the first post the vauxhall vectra is still listed as 'not started', any reason why or just not round to it yet?
-
The signs look quality. I remember someone asking in the London mod if it was possible, but i just had a quick question in regards to the traffic; Will it be on the left? haha [Edit - Just checked thru and they have confirmed it will be, are you gonna ask if you can nick the scripting behind it?]
-
Imagine that, a super mod team haha. It sounds decent, but then there would be no 'competition' as such or attempts to break ground. I know we aren't strictly meant to mention it, but for example the And as much as I agree with you in terms of it being annoying mods aren't completed, as everyone says, remember it's their personal unpaid time they put to it. Real life trumps artificial

[EM4] Los Angeles Mod bugs, issues and problems
Fuzzyface replied to Hoppah's topic in Los Angeles Mod
It's more a feature than a bug, personally I always keep the units 'staffed' even when they are just in the station so I don't get this problem. As the saying goes, 'in time of peace, prepare for war' -
If people found a way (other than pm) to get to you, I believe you will be swamped and charged for the amount of mail bags the postal service ended up delivering

[EM4] Los Angeles Mod bugs, issues and problems
Fuzzyface replied to Hoppah's topic in Los Angeles Mod
I know it might be for the sake of realism etc, but I would have thought that you never really required 2 units on chase command? I imagine the 'bug' is the fact that the armed arrest script can't complete which creates the problem? If vehicles produced 2-3 people per stolen vehicle I could see it being worthwhile <-- (maybe an idea for L.A 2.0 ) -
That's why I mentioned the patrolling units haha
-
Was there a need to quote the entire opening post there Andy? (Isn't meant to be a hostile comment, just made me chuckle to go all the way thru it to see 'Can't wait to play' )
-
(Possible wall of text coming up - Apologies) As far as i'm aware, apart from the Rescue boat (North West) and Rescue Crane (South East - same as recovery trucks) all units enter via the road to the south on the junction with the car wash. If you're looking for a quick solution to this incident; Send all 4 units from Station 1 and place them as such: 1:- Hospital car park between the 2 buildings that catch fire (obv at safe distance) 2:- The car park to the left of the junction (the bushes catch fire every time and some vehicles) 3:- Past the incident onto the road to the right of the junction 4:- Onto the road as you turn left on the junction that approaches from the south. Auto-deploy thrashes it then, plus you can use unit 2 in the hospital car park once it deals with the small bush fires at the other car park. *deep breath* Haha

At the end of the day, I think just about everyone has little bits and pieces they would like to adjust but will most likely not happen. It's a shame, but at least we still have the mods being created to cater to some of the requests people do make
-
I agree with the point that sometimes they are too easy most definately. I got so annoyed spending an hour of gameplay with nothing major but 'Guy has tripped over his laces' and 'Woman's dropped handbag crushes toes' every 2 minutes that I just edited my freeplay to omit all of the 'easy' events. Also, I generally always use 1-2 less units than required at fires for example so that I really have to consider where I place them to control it etc as opposed to sending 10x foam tenders and sitting back. Create my own drama
-
It's been mentioned in quite a few posts before that units + patrol = huge traffic jams everywhere. You must be pretty lucky to have that many units out without massive disruption haha.
-
You never know, he might have been on traffic patrol at some point on his way to his current position
-
Sounds very good, all the best with this (whole mod), looks like it will shape up to be something pretty special.
-
This looks really good. The amount of skins in the first post took me back somewhat! Brilliant mapping also, must look very impressive in-game with a few appliances running on top!
-
Looking very good (Y) Any luck with the fire fogger yet or will you just assume it's the thing you said in the end?
-
I don't think it's an issue of fast ordering of resources. On the 10 car pile up I remove casulties, use a crane to put the wrecks off the road, then just request 10 recovery trucks at once with no issue haha.

This is not to rubbish your idea completely, as something like this would be personal preference. Obviously your idea is to just drop vehicles to the bottom as opposed to the side. I know that is literally it, but surely you'd still end up having to scroll somewhat to find particular vehicles, when for example, the L.A mod has so many? As I say, not to say 'don't bother', just my twenty pence.
