No, but they do get closed because the original poster asks them to be closed. But how rude of me, please, you OBVIOUSLY have something you want to say about the subject. If so, when this is closed, you can create your own topic. For now I am going to request this thread closed because my question was answered and no one has anything else to add to ON TOPIC conversation

Tore it all apart, blew out all the contacts and it works fine now. It's gonna need a new keyboard, but other than that it's fine. This topic can be closed :closed: :closed:

So, I have an old IBM X41 tablet pc. When it starts up, it beeps constantly, at a steady pace and is not grouped in a way that would make it seem like an error beep. It does this until it reaches windows. when it reaches windows, the keyboard doesn't work and it seems to right click at random moments. Is this a problem with the TFT touch screen, the keyboard, or the system board? A problem with something else maybe?

COOL! OT: holy freaking user-bars yo!

It's no different with the NY Mod team. None of them (to my knowledge) are even from the US, but yet they're doing a super job on the mod. You can't base anything on location anymore.

Stupid policies that police have in your country

Quite right, most people think it's too much hassle most of the time to fight it. TBH, most people don't know a lot about the legal system. Take this for example, if you're brought in for questioning and not officially arrested, you have the right to get up and walk out at any time. A lot of people don't know that and they can sit there and take the abuse. -
Is this just for Hoppahs map

Exactly. If you would have fought it, you would have won. As for the seatbelt, all someone has to do is get the seatbelt on before they get pulled over. That is the only discernible way for an officer to get someone for a seatbelt. They have to be at the driver's/passenger's door in order to charge someone with it -
from past topics, I would say that's a bad idea. I've seen a lot of "suggestion" topics that turn into all out flame wars all because someone didn't like someone elses idea.

The rules say nothing about banning one's self. so.... I ban myself so that all others may be unbanned

I would agree with that. I only want the LA Mod for freeplay, so cutting the missions out would speed up the downloading, installing, and startup times

The way I've usually heard them do it (from different people in different jurisdictions) is that they do a check to see if the registered owner has any warrants, pull the car over, and then see if it's actually the registered owner that's in the car While they MIGHT be able to catch it, it would not be admissible in court until they got the guy pulled over and saw it or caught it at a checkpoint. The offender could argue that the seatbelt was covered by his sweatshirt or something. Speeding goes the same way. A cop can't whack you for speeding unless they are standing still and using the radar or driving immediately behind your tailgate. -
Right, but every time some dumbass slams into the rear end of a cruiser/engine/ambulance on the side of the road, they have to put MORE lights on the vehicle

I ban you because you like bugs on a side note, I also permanently ban all insects, arachnids, etc currently active in this forum. (I hate bugs

most full lightbars have alley and takedown lights. When the lightbar is fully lit and operating, they're usually in a side-to-side pattern. They have light controllers that can tell the takedowns to face forward and not move. Police often do that when they're dealing with things at night (traffic stops, accidents, etc)

Well, keep in mind what they're running, theyy run the license plate to get the car and the driver. Then they run the car and see if it's A: the right car for that particular plate and B: whether it may have been part of another crime (hit and run, etc) Then they run the registered owner to see if they have warrants. Also, a cop can't pull you over for having tinted windows. What they usually do is tail you until you give them and excuse to pull you over (turn without signaling, don't stop behind the line, etc) Normally, most police don't care too much about these offenses, but now they can pull you over and whack you with the windows. EDIT: that's also how they whack you with seatbelt violations. No one can accurately determine whether you're wearing a seatbelt while you and the officer are in motion EDIT jr: those police just love their whackin' -
